Williamson Recalled

I would play Doc at CB if it was a choice between him and Iorfa.

Iorfa played there against Middlesbrough and didn't look too sturdy. I also think that he makes quite a few mistakes at RB, but his so quick he easily recovers. I don't think he will get away with it so much at CB.

Doherty is better in terms of positioning and is better in the air. Iorfa is more of a threat going forwards. Makes sense to play Doherty centrally if they are both on the pitch.

Iorfa is possibly our best outlet wide right....silly to lose that option...still it is Kenneth and he does love to tinker

All sound logic, what would you bet on Jackett doing the logical thing? Seems confident EEL will play.....

I read the title of this thread, "Williams Recalled", and for a moment found myself wondering what it was that Williams recalled, as his mind maybe drifted back over the years...

I thought it meant we had recalled Ade Williams

If Newcastle decided they didn't need him after all can he come back, or is that against the rules?

I would play Doherty at centre back. Good in the air and it could prove to be his long term position given his average at best pace. But mainly I would play him there because Iorfa would be too big a loss as our best full back and best winger.

Remember the man we nearly signed Troy Delort? A failure at Wigan but now returned to be an ever present this season for Caen in the top French division. He is scoring one every three games and Caen are having the best season in their history, second only to PSG in Ligue 1.
