Predictions

Back in October I created an article about our remaining league fixtures of 2015.
We had 9 games to go, 27pts available.
I was optimistic enough to suggest that we should be picking up 23pts if everything went as planned. With 20pts as a bare minimum.

As we stand today, we have played 6 of those 9 games.
I predicted that we should have 16pts from those 6 matches.

We have accumulated only 7. That's right 7!

The maximum we can accumulate is 16.
We will probably achieve 11pts.

Even with the injuries, that is a pathetic amount of points from the position we were in.

I cant see us beating Stoke or Chelsea so today's game is our realistic chance of collecting a win.

How times have changed.

Only 2 hard fixtures on that list are Stoke away and Southampton home.

Hafi, we had a relatively easy run of fixtures now and we could only win 1 in 6.

Lets face it, it's not happening wih LVG

We always struggle on easy games and win harder games.

Memphis, based on your predictions in our next 6 fixture - probable guess - I can see the back of LVG for sure - even before fixture #6

Newcastle United are the worst team on that list by par. If we don't thrash them 5 or 6-0 then LVG deserves to go.

Neither manager is famed for his dazzling, attacking football, with Guardiola claiming last month: "What I want, my desire, is to have 100 percent possession." That's hardly music to the ears of United fans, who watch their players keep the ball all game and do very little with it.

However, they will have to extend that run to eight games if they are to overtake the unwanted record of Sir Alex Ferguson's 2007 side, who went seven matches with tasting victory in all competitions from May 9, 2007 to August 19, 2007.

We ain't in a bad run yet

Meant to say on a bad run yet. I have to say though if we do win the next 3 games and with a decent goal margins we might be top of the league at half way stage.

Southampton at home is not a tough fixture. Their form has been lower mid table throughout 2015. If we don't beat them it's a really poor result

I agree. I dont think a win today will make a difference if we get beat by Stoke and not beat Chelsea.
