😍Wolves v Reading😍{live}

Now we can finally get back to another legendary match thread

Wolves have no fresh injury concerns for the visit of Reading.
However, Wanderers boss Kenny Jackett could make changes to his struggling side with striker Grant Holt, midfielder Dave Edwards and defender Scott Golbourne pushing for a recall.
Defender Andrew Taylor could return for Reading after missing the 1-0 win over Blackburn through injury.
On-loan Chelsea defender Michael Hector is a doubt after sustaining a knock and Anton Ferdinand is unavailable.
MATCH FACTS

Wolves have won their past two Boxing Day matches without conceding, this after losing the three beforehand (seven conceded).
The Royals have won just once in their past nine away games held on Boxing Day (D5 L3).
Wolves have won just two of their past 12 league matches (D4 L6). They have also gone six without a win at Molineux.
However, Reading have lost each of their past five away matches in the league, their worst run in the league since April 2013 (also five defeats).
The Royals have put 110 shots on target this season, more than any other team in the division.

can't see anyone giving us anywhere near £10 mil for afobe,
doubt we'll get £5 mil

just a personal thing but it really makes me mad when 'fans' talk about one of our players deserving better than wolves.

afobe gets very well paid and what we ask for in return is that he works hard and plays to his best ability when selected. he doesn't deserve any more than that, and if he plays better along with the rest of the squad then results will come.

comments suggesting he should leave because wolves aren't doing enough for him personally make the people involved sound more interested in afobe's future than the club's. I always thought the idea was to support wolves, not to support individual players or managers based on those you like, and to slate other players and managers just because you are desperate to have your views accepted by others on a forum.

the reading game was live on tv so presumably everyone commenting did get to see the match at least.

Afobe is left isolated all too often, no idea how anybody can deny that doesn't happen.

We are wasting a very good player.

Is he perfect? No, but he is very good, so all this talk of him being 'very' limited is laughable, we saw exactly how limited he was last season of course, scoring goals for fun, we also saw how he tore apart united at a poorer team than wolves.

It is plain as day as to why his performances are worse this season.

As I have already said, he has one goal when Edwards plays in the ten spot, the position he has played most often this season, that isn't a coincidence.

cinci you really are a monotonous, blinkered, dullard

i'd prefer us to keep afobe if we have money to spend elsewhere and a new plan because he's a good striker. but the one bright point if we do sell him will be the hope that you switch to become a Norwich fan. that way you can continue to slavishly praise every lacklustre performance of your idol AND have a new reason to hate mick McCarthy as well.

Ah, the childish switch allegiance to another team comments.

I want what's best for wolves, and that is a fully operational Afobe, a player we have already seen tear up this league, nothing monotonous about it, you can point the finger at Afobe I shall point the finger at the guy who doesn't touch the ball for eleven minutes when we have our backs to the wall.

afobe WAS the guy who didn't touch the ball for 11 minutes v reading. or possibly longer than that.

we had 10 players who were poor in the game. surprisingly you single out one to blame, and another to hold above all reproach. not that yr obsessed...

Edwards was that guy actually, in a position where that should never happen, but of course ignore that.

I don't hold Afobe beyond reproach, I think he has let himself down on occasion, but certainly not on Saturday, the support he is getting is laughable, he runs to take a quick throw only to find nobody is even within reach of it in the second half on Saturday and rightly gets annoyed.

And I didn't single out one player Saturday, I also criticised kmac and iorfa in particular and think both should be dropped.

If Afobe (who is joint 7th in this leagues goal scorers chart with 9) is as bad as posters are saying, then why is KJ still picking him. If it's to put him in the "shop window" then we'll get naff all for him.

Couldn't watch the match as I was in San Antonio, but having read other match reports, KJ deliberately played that way in the second half as we'd conceded 7 goals in our last two matches.

Winning, no matter by what means, does help with a teams confidence.
