Well, yesterday's result was no surprise.
Away to Stoke is up there as one of the toughest away fixtures of the season.
Chelsea up next. This one's even harder to predict.
Either we play out a bore draw to stop the run of defeats or we lose again as the players dont really bother.
I cant say we could win but we just don't look like winning at all at the moment which is depressing.
Never thought I'd say this but I'd take a 0-0 now.
Next up it's Chelsea

I just can't see us not conceding.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We went several games without conceding and now we cant cant defend at all.
Stick 11 men behind the ball and get the clean sheet. We need to go back to basics.
(Can't believe I'm actually thinking like this)
-------------------------------------------------------
Even with 11 behind the ball, our confidence is shot to pieces. I think they've just got to go for it. Chelsea are in poor form too, so maybe that'll be our best option. At least that thug Costa is suspended.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I was looking forward to Costa playing so that he loses focus (which doesn't take much) and does something stupid. We need all the help we can get!
-----------------------------------------------------------
How bad has it got that that we have to resort to these thoughts?! I was actually thinking that if we lose against Chelsea they might sack him and that would change our fortunes. But then I saw Carricks post match interview on sky sports news, and the bloke looked and sounded so depressed. I know he wouldn't be jumping up and down, but he should have at least shown some steel. There was nothing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Reminded me of an interview he did after olympiakos best us towards the end of the Moyes reign. Just went through the motions. Senior players like himself also have to take some of the blame

Very hard to say how this one will go. Anything is possible, a draw or win for either side. Should be either very very boring or absolutely cracking.

Firstly LVG looked a beaten man. I think it finally hit him that his words now have no impact on this team
Secondly Carrick just looked broken. So did Rooney.
How can we have got to this state when even our senior players are distraught? God knows what the younger players are feeling.
The time is up for LVG. I dont think any result against Chelsea can heal the damage done.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If/when he goes, who would you have? I'm not a fan of mourinho but it looks like Real are lining him up to replace their clown. If the reports are right and Pep goes to city, who does that leave?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There aren't too many out there.
Here's the options i think.
1. Give it to Gigsy for the rest of the season and then see where we are. If he's done well then we'll stick with him.
If not then look elsewhere
2. Go for Mourinho now
3. Go for Ancelotti for the rest of season and then see whats available in the summer
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is the world that bereft of world class managers?
I don't think Ancelotti would come for 6 months, sadly. I really like him. I'd go for Giggs too, but the danger is we don't get CL next season and it makes it even more difficult to attract a top manager. The Juve coach might be worth a punt?

Whoever comea in next will have the biggest challenge yet. Having spent £300m in this squad, the pressure will be on.
I know Mourinho doesn't fit our Club ethos and principle but he might be the one to sort this squad out.
My main reservation about him is that he doesnt bother with the youth players. Something we have traditionally promoted and invested in.

Something needs to change and it will start with the manager
If Gigsy is given a chance, I'd like for him to bring in Scholesy as coach so that he can retrain our squad in how to pass forward.

LVG is a dead man walking.
Does he ever get out of his seat during a game, or does he still just sit there clutching his leather brief file like some executive?
Zero passion, totally unlike SAF, who you could never get to sit down.

I think he's the only coach that I've ever seen doing that. He says its up to the players to find the solution to the problems. I guess that's where the lack of passion starts for the players, if he can't show fighting qualities when it matters, it's hardly surprising they don't.

Boring scrappy 0-0- is the last thing that needs to happen. The root of the problem. Same old same old proves that LVG isnt the man to turn things around.
Look, he's done. He knows it...We know it ...Every other fecker knows it. Its not a matter of if, the debate is now, whose next?
We have a gutless impotent board of weasel like directors who are running this once great club into the dust. They should be ashamed of themselves. Ed, Fergie, SBC and Glazers all included.
