Poch's strengths and weaknesses!

I'm interested in Spurs fan's thoughts on our manager's strengths and weaknesses in a period where he is having a lot of success.

I'm generally quite positive about Poch and the job he is doing. I'm the tyoe of fan that likes to get behind the manager; I backed Jol, Rednapp, AVB and Sherwood (for a period of time). Now I'm really enjoying to see how Poch runs his team. He is not a footballing Dinosaur; the type of manager that cannot keep up with the times (Van Gaal, Wenger to an extent, Rednapp) and he plays with players not names. It has already benefited us, who would have thought that we would have 6 quality CMs fighting for 3 places and that Bentaleb would not get a sniff after last season...!

I could keep going about Poch's strengths however what have we noticed about his weaknesses?

For me I feel that he does not make decisive substitutions. If the game is going against us, I don't fancy him to make a game changing decision...

Anybody else noticed anything good or bad about Poch so far?

Ledley being negative again about Spurs players. Not sure how he thinks Spurs are up near the top of the table if they have no quality midfielders. Honestly cannot believe he actually supports Spurs.

I like the way Poch follows my philosophy, very little rotation, and guess what it is proving to be a winning formula.

Goes for youth.
Doesn't know when a player is off form i.e. Erik.

We all have different perceptions of quality Sandy, just like you once said the only player worth watching nowadays is Messi.

Stop being a baby ffs, we don't all have to agree with you.

of the four games i spoke about with the poor squad management we drew 2 and lost 2… , one being a cup final and the other being a european cup tie.

What about this season, where his excellent squad management has only seen minimal losses in all competitions. I live in the present, I will leave you to continually live in the past.

Ledley's

I am not asking you to agree with me. It is an opinion's forum, so each to their own. I am just trying to get my head around why you are always so negative to anything Spurs do. You don't seem happy even though Spurs are doing fine in the prem, through to the knockout stages of the Europa. And now you are moaning agout the Spurs midfield. What is there not to like about Dier, Dembele, etc. Don't get it mate.

erm, sandy we haven't got to the business end of the season yet

just admit that you are wrong, and that poch's squad management for those four games was awful and we totally faacked it up.

Here we go again, Sandy picking and choosing what comments he wants to ignore and which comments he wants to digest, despite him commenting on an article I wrote last week praising Kane.

If I'm "always so negative to anything Spurs do" then someone clearly logged into my profile on here and wrote that article for me?

It's pretty simple stuff, as I've already explained and I'll do so again, hopefully this time you'll grasp it....

Every single person is allowed to define 'quality' however they want to. True or false?

I said that our midfield isn't 'quality', based on my own definitions of what 'quality' is.

What someone else might class as 'world class' might be someone else's 'decent', 'average' or 'overrated' as evidenced in your assessment of Ozil in your article from yesterday. True or false?

As everybody knows I am one of Poch's biggest critics but going by the last 6 games or so he is above criticism at the moment. Taking away the Newcastle game we have looked disciplined and effective. We are scoring goals and defending well so its quite impossible to criticise him
