Negative and Fickle Fans

I went to watch the match at Southampton last week and I was sat next to one of the most negative football fans in the stadium. You know the type, the fan that magnifies every little error or mistake and plays down anything the player does well.

The guy deserves his opinion and it became evident that he valued players for their effort and desire rather than their technical ability. He loved Lamela because he put his foot in and disliked Eriksen because he was a cat (or something to that effect).

There is nothing wrong with that as there are so many aspects to the beautiful game that bring us all together to enjoy it. With that said, I was shocked at how negative he was to our players, and the amount of Spurs fans that get on a players back when things don't go well and it got me wondering, do we have a good fan-base and how do we compare to others in the league?

I'm pretty sure West Ham fans are the worst, went to watch them play a couple of years back and I felt depressed because they were so negative... and deluded.

Man Utd fans always annoyed me, because I lived in London and that seemed to be where the majority of them came from. Liverpool likewise but I think it is more the media pundits that I dislike more.

Who are your least favorite fans in the league and how do you think we fair among them as a fan-base?


P.S Please can we stop singing about Sol Campbell at games anymore? It was over 15 years ago and I feel that by singing about him still makes him relevant... which he is not.
