Usually I'm in a quite a bad mood on a Saturday night after we have lost, (even more-so if I've followed the game live), but this wasn't the case after our match at 'Boro! I'm not sure why, but I think it has something to do with my belief that we were on a hiding to nothing before KO; a) because we never get much from them home or away and b) they currently have a great defensive record, (we did have chances to score but Russell was way off colour).
I was more depressed by dropping two points against The Dirties TBH, (a game we really should have won). Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but how nice would three more points on the board look if we had beat Leeds and held-out for 0-0 at 'Boro?
To be fair I am repeating the same tune other Derby JA606's said on here yesterday / Saturday (sorry I don't remember who it was), that it was short sighted resting players against Leeds and also trying to beat 'Boro, but Clement is a rookie (and admitted it).
That all said, looking at the table, I'm as certain as I can be that we are one of the best three teams in the division, (the others being 'Boro & Hull). So I can't see us crumbling like last year and I will be very disappointed if we don't finish in the autos, (I'm not sure my medication is strong enough for the play-offs).
One thing which does worry me though, (despite our good defensive record), is there is still a tendency to PANIC when the ball comes into our area, (and that includes me when I'm watching). I wonder if Roy McFarland fancies a run-out?

Griff, big 'occasions' then, big games for me, personally
Forest games are the biggest games for me, all-season - regardless of our stance in the league.
It's just a personal thing, I suppose.

We lost at forest and beat Hull. That was better than beating forest and losing to Hull regarding league positions

Baz, I don't class the Leeds and Forest games as big games. Big occasion maybe but not big games. Big games for me are laying the teams around us. Lost to Boro, beat hull and Ipswich, got to play them both at home yet.

No probs pal. This move might really ignite his career. Chris Martin's record wasn't brilliant when he joined us and he hadn't done bad, no matter what folk say
