The hard work is done?
Now let's enjoy the rest of the season, and beyond?
Yes, we damn well will, whatever happens now! But..
A club building an ethos, a manager building his squad, a recruitment team scouting, the players playing, the executives executiving! And the fans supporting.
No, the hard work is not done! The hard work is perpetual. This is still going on, foundations upon foundations. Team building!
But blimey what blloody hard work has gone on at Leicester City recently?
I know a lot of fans and forum warmers are looking beyond Pearson now, but something he eluded to, made a good point. Last season while the results were going awry a lot of hard work on and off the field was done. Whether that means player preparation, off-field support, relegation preparation, recruitment targets, staff training, etc. it was all going on, no doubt. These are things that are ongoing for all teams, all of the time.
But an element missing from more teams often than not (Especially those lingering around the Premier League)....
Last season's roller-coaster, the promotion season, and the play-off defeat in dramatic circumstances against Watford with the same core group, is MORE than hard work! That's team building, that's experience, that's winning, that's losing, that's winning when you are not winning!!
I could break down individual performers and results over the last year, but I won't do that here. (I'll leave that to Arro )
Along with Arro though, there is no illusion here. Still taking our last three games into consideration, overall it's still damn outstanding!! DAMN OUTSTANDING!!
The hard work is done, more than hard work is done...
....the hard work continues..
Now this is Football, let's enjoy it. There is more to come!!
The Hard Work...

Villa at home with an extra day's rest while we travel to our third away match in 8 days? (Although granted we'll likely stick out the reserves in the FA Cup)
I appreciate that Villa are about as threatening as a wet lettuce at the moment but they're playing us at an ideal time.

It's all about timing Dunge

I'm not concerned about our lack of goals or wins in the last 3.
Despite being 2nd best all of the Liverpool game and the 1st hour of the Man City game we still managed to produce the best chances of the game (obviously apart from the goal). As long as we continue to create chances we will score goals.
Defensively in those 3 we've looked quite assured too which is backed up by just 1 conceded.
Bournemouth was a disappointing result and definitely 2 points dropped but it occurred to me that that result is the first really big disappointment, in terms of result that we've had since Hull on March 14.
If keep doing what we've been doing and stick to our guns then we'll pick up results
By the way, keep an eye out on Chelsea

While I don't think Chelsea will be too much trouble in terms of making top 4, it may come close. But what they certainly will do is take points off teams, and have a big influence on the top

Top 4 probably is just out of reach and I'm glad we've got 17 points on them. I think top 5 - 6 is in their reach if they can get close to the level they did last season.
And good point about them taking points from teams, with us not playing them until the last day it could definitely benefit us

Yes, without a doubt

And they will give us the points if it prevents City or Arsenal winning it ha ha

I can't see it coming to that but.them having nothing to play for or a pending FA cup final / CL final* would be quite handy though
* not ideal if we finish 4th

I know you're half-joking, but this phenomenon doesn't happen in my experience. Competitive spirit, along with the determination that you can have the final say in the race through victory (such that the victors are indebted to you) win through.
