Obviously still rankles with them both. Bassett was always loyal to Forest and gave his all to the Reds when he was here. Got Forest into a great position by getting them promoted at the first attempt. Position was squandered but he couldn't be held responsible.
PVH was one of the best strikers I ever saw play for Forest. Going on strike damaged his reputation and I reckon ruined his chances of ever playing for one of the big clubs. Damaged his career beyond repair. Coming back and trying to sue Forest years later was clearly sour grapes. I reckon realisation had dawned that he had gone too far, maybe.

Should've set alarm bells ringing all by itself. What a rubbish choice to try and save Forest's season that year.

I don't think Big Ron was particularly keen on his attitude either but was a necessary evil at the time

Think Big Ron was heavily medicated for much of his time at the CG to be honest!

@Tnewton_1988 Best thing after coming back from strike was that I had to listen only 2 months more to his bulls#$t before NFFC sacked him.
