How are the great Manchester United now so amateurishly run?
You have a bumbling relic of a manager whose ego is so out of whack he takes offence at the notion he's not good enuf to manage one of the top clubs in world football whilst playing turgid mind numbing football and getting poor results. You have a CEO who rose to his rank as being a commercial / marketing whizz (which is fine) but clearly knows squat about football and just spends his time brown nosing the glazers who themselves look like rabbits in the headlights when it comes to football matters!! This being the CEO who is cluelessly plotting to hand the keys to the kingdom to a complete novice in Ryan Giggs.
It shows the depth to which they have sunk when they're doing verbal hoolahoops to pretend they don't want the undisputed best mgr in world football, Pep G, who himself has made many amorous glances towards United over the years so he is acquire able but the CEO / owners are too bungling, clueless and downright unambitious to get him. Let's not even mention the parasitic Glazers whose sole purpose for being at United is to extract as much cash as possible to prop up their US business interests.
Whilst I know the post fergie years were always going to be challenging, the complete lack of a clue at boardroom and dressing level at present is startling. I've never known such a weak and imbalanced United squad!!
This isn't supposed to be a wind up, just genuine shock and disdain. As the glazers rob and pillage bringing the ceiling of ambition downwards the water is rising as everyone around them is getting better with all the sky money. If United can't and don't get their act together fast and sort Pep for next year and start next season with LVG or worse novice Giggs then I fully expect a Liverpool style meltdown that may see 20 years of no success awaiting you, struggling for top 4 finishes and a steady continuous decline...

A forest fan coming unto the Utd board about how badly their club is run, oh the irony.
One word forestlen, EMBARGO.

Very poor article. Wrong on nearly every point.

Wow what a drama queen.
The article is full of unsubstantiated and inaccurate statements and then over-dramatised for good measure.

I didn't write this as a wum, just would like to hear from united fans as to why
A) why aren't they in the market for the best available mgr - Pep! Seemingly. Happy to allow their rivals hire him without any fight?
B) is the suggestion Giggs will succeed LVG really acceptable succession planning in this day and age
C) the enormous debt
D) the woeful transfer attempts by Van Gaal
E) the dire football
F) lame exit from CL
G) the money that has exited United to go into Glazer coffers

No club should be exempt from this and I think it's right that all fans should experience it. There will be a lot of United fans who will not know what it's like to be unsuccessful for decades. Bring it on, I say.

You are deluding yourself if you think this present slump will continue for decades

A) We might/might not be in the mix for Guardiola. Depends what you want to believe. If he's already decided to go to City - despite what he says publicly - then there's no point. There is a suggestion he's already indicated this to United.
B) I'm one of the few that wouldn't be against giving Giggs a go. Not the obvious choice, but there's no guarantee anyone else with a big name and CV will come in and be a success. At least with Giggs were are more likely to try and play attacking, and he's likely to give as much of an opportunity to young English players as he can, something I think a foreign manager won't particularly do.
C) Debt is irrelevant if we have the finances to more than cover it. Which we do.
D) Yep, we could have done better. Could have done worse. Plenty have.
E) Yep, we could play better. Our dire football has us currently in 5th. Which isn't great, but equally so isn't completely dire.
F) Yep, we should have qualified. Not anywhere near attacking enough early on in the group. By the end, when we were slightly more attacking, we had injuries galore, particularly in defence.
G) How much has exited United coffers and gone to the Glazers?
Have to say OP, you say you aren't on the wum, but this does sound very bitter and skewed tbh. How long have these feelings been building up? You sound a bit angry, are you sure you're a Forest fan? Maybe your feelings would be better spent venting at your own owners?

Listen not here to offend but just wondering how these questions aren't being asked of the direction of the club.
Would love to know how much the glazers have put into the club vs how much they've taken out?
Yep forest are run by a clown of an owner but he at least has put far more cash in than he ll ever get out. Not sure the glazers will ever say that

I keep seeing this point made but I am of the opinion that part of our current problems stem from trying to blood / rely on too many young players at once.
How many managers field more youngsters than LVG? Martial, Memphis, Lingard, Adnan, Borthwick-Johnson, McNair, Pereira, Shaw, James, Powell, Wilson, Varela, Blackett, etc. And Keane is in the squad today....
Most of these youngsters are British as well.
I just find it odd that people keep saying that Giggs will give English youth a chance as if that isn't something that we already do. Look how many youngsters we have fielded in the last 18 months under LVG - that's far more than we ever played under Fergie.

We don't play dire football. We seem to get blamed for the opposition 8-1-0 formation every team use against us. Leave one player on half way line and park the bus, rely on keeper anddefenders on the line draw 0-0 and Man Utd get called boring after 0-0.
We definately have the best midfield and defence in the league. BT sport Humprey said 31 chances created in last 2 games but thats just shots. We were good 1st half scholes not poor.
Anyway I will take a 1-0.
