With the impending decision that Spurs will possibly complete a season long move to Wembley I wanted to get thoughts on this potential decision.
Does this devalue Wembley?
The mere thought of playing at Wembley for home matches makes mini Thudd tingle (you know what I'm talking about ladies) imagine 60/70/80k even for a NLD or playing those Pikeeey mugs, or Chelsea, a packed national stadium with the majority being our own fans would be immense, on the other scale a league cup game that fills 20% of the stadium
On the other hand does this devalue playing there, season after season we beleive and pray for a cup final so we can have our day out. I know this for the greater good and once the new stadium is ready it will cast a shadow any other stadium in the Premier League,
Your thoughts chaps

Dunno about that. The familarity of the ground to the players is massive. Will feel far more comfortable than the opposition, who will most likely have very limited experience of Wembley (unless it is Arsenal, of course)
The fans play a part, but it is a lot more than that that makes home an advantage.

What is the experience of Wembley exactly? The turf, the stands, the size what?
As for Arsenal, they could play at 'home' anywhere. It's ingrained in their DNA they've moved so many times...

Yes, the current playing staff, the current coaching staff, the current manager... all there in the pre-Highbury days

Not just Wembley - all home grounds. Home comforts can be a big thing - hence why the Away Goal Rule is a thing

To be honest I've only ever bought into the away goal thing when a team has had to travel hundreds or thousands of miles to get to, not bleeding Wembley!

Would it surprise you to know only 3 teams have won more away games than home games this season?
Or that only 1 team (Crystal Palace) won more away games than home games last season?
The points difference between the 19 home games compared to 19 away is significantly different in many cases.
Home advantage is a definite thing.

You can't fill the Lane. Advertising on Talk sport for European games. How you going to fill Wembley on Thursday nights?

I don't see Mr Wenger saying anything about Spurs or Chelsea, just that us playing a handful of games at Wembley, while playing mainly at Highbury, wasn't very good.
