Just stumbled on these YouTube videos showing some of the history of the Arsenal. Some education for those Arsenal fans who unfortunately don't know it.

Smudger, very under rated striker, guess dream partner back in the day of 2up front, George tried to sign Kerry Dixon but didn't happen, he may have bought both Smith & Dixon perhaps? He also tried to get Tony cottee but he signed for Everton instead, I read in the brilliant book N5 that when Wright arrived the team started to look for wrighty to much to get them a win or out of trouble, and later we became a one man team, stopped being a true team, think Smith said this, can't remember now? Think this was down to a number of things though, a general decline in quality of player, I think the same thing happened with Henry in a sense? Anyway great stuff, brings back great memories.

Yep, we became a one man team. One of the saddest moments supporting Arsenal was when I missed Wrighty's record breaking goal. He couldn't hit a barn door for weeks before I went out on my honeymoon in the Dominican Republic. Picked up a paper in the reception lobby and saw the news that he had broken Ted Drakes goal scoring record. I'd missed it. I was stunned (in a very bad way).
