Harsh to single out Memphis, he wasn't great but the whole team were poor today and the desire was completely lacking. Needs to do better but I'm not sure cameo sub appearances does him no good tbf.

I'm not singling him out but he seems to have this habit of making a mistake or missing and it having a big impact on the outcome of the game.

But I think it's hard to expect too much from a 22 year old who is only being given cameo appearances, he's lacking in confidence, any player would struggle in that position IMO. But it's a tricky situation because the only way he is likely to improve is to get a run of games but he doesn't really deserve a run of games.

By claiming his miss would be costly to the team is singling him out IMO, none of our offensive players did much all game so deserve criticism just as much as Memphis does for not taking his chances.

Yeah he hasn't done himself any favours but we can't give up on the lad just yet. I think a lot of us said we shouldn't expect too much too soon, he's young and moving to a far superior league, it's always going to be tough.

Maybe this season needs to be a big lesson for the lad, as I've said many times he seems to thrive off his self belief and confidence which have taken a huge knock this season. Maybe a summer to reflect, a new manager and new season can be what he needs. I'm just not sure what 15 minute sub appearances here and there can do to help. Plenty of players struggle in their first season, it's not really that surprising.

All three new signings have struggled (Darmian, Schneiderlin, Memphis). Give them time before you judge.

People should remember how poor Ozil was for a long time after initially impressing for Arsenal. Plus, the situation at United doesn't seem to be doing any favours to many players.

I'm not sure MUDd, he just seems out of his depth, whether or not the defenders have him worked out that he'll just about always cut in instead of going wide which makes him easy to defend against, that's the trouble not been a right footer playing on the left
