Sometimes they should stay quiet

Max's comments following the departure:

“I want to thank all the Leeds United fans who loyally follow the team up and down the county (country?) as you have made my time at the club very special.

“I also want to thank Simon Grayson, my team-mates and everyone at the club for all your help and support and giving me the opportunity to play for this great club. I am sure that it will not be long before Leeds United return to the Premier League and I wish you every success in the future."

This feels to me like a slap in the face, I can do better than you have to offer moment. Leeds are beneath me and to me feels a little contemptuous.

Despite what happened with contract negotiations, I just wish sometimes players moving on just didn't bother.

He left for more money and his agent bank manager will be happy to i expect, you cant blame the club, listening to Gywn Williams comment from Tuesday, Max made it very clear he wanted out and he didnt wanted to play against Ipswich on Saturday

Madness

He wanted to go back home, and yes he wanted more money, but he was worth alot more than his current deal.

And why did he play on saturday if he didnt want to,

I guess he didn't want to play in case he got injured, and that would ruin his chance of a move. i think all footballers are over paid, Many of us work long hrs for little money, then you look a footballers and they are paid stupid money for playing a sport.

the sooner a cap is introduced the better

My point is why did grayson play him

maybe he was hoping Max would've got sent off instead of White then Max being banned wouldn't have mattered as he is off to play at the highest level in france

I honestly don't think he gets paid that much more at St Ettiene than he did here, the french league is hardly bathing in money.

I doubt they even bid more than West Ham, he probably just learned that all these french clubs were ready to bid for him and demanded a transfer request immediately

Simple fact is he wants to go home, he is French, his wife is French, his family is French, therefore he's obviously going to prefer to play in France, even if the standard is lower than the premier league.

How many French folk do you know that move to England and actually stay here? They never stay longer than they need to.

Sounds to me like Max wanted what most want at work, a pay rise for his good work or promotion.

I also believe there's more reason why he left, but contractual obligations won't allow him to talk.......but he's in another country now, I'd certainly be blabbing, lol.
