It's all OK lads...!!

We arent suing the league (maybe)

In a statement on Sunday night, our new CEO, Bell said: "Last Thursday I attended a meeting organised by the Football League on behalf of all its member clubs.

"The meeting was organised, like all previous Football League club meetings, so that clubs could discuss matters together, privately and confidentially.

"It is therefore disappointing to read inaccurate press reports this morning quoting 'sources' from within the meeting.

"Given the nature of the article, I feel that it is important and necessary to set the record straight.

"I would like to make it clear that Leeds United is not seeking, or taken legal action, to dismantle the collective selling of TV rights as has been suggested.

"The club has, however, made it clear to both Sky and the League that it opposes the degree of control exercised by Sky over the league fixture list, and seeks transparency as to how these rights have been sold.

"Today's article seeks to position Leeds United as a lone, isolated voice. However, this is far from the truth and there is a growing number of clubs who now understand and share our desire for transparency."

Forget whether you're pro or against Cellino.

Is this is a question about the FL selling package A to the clubs then letting Sky have package B ?

If Package A includes letting Sky move matches at will, then end of story.
If it doesn't give that implicit right, that's different.
If LUFC (or any FL club) do not know the answer to that question, and the FL are unwilling to show their members of copy of the contract with Sky (which I understand they have not been willing to provide so far) then there does seem to be an unanswered question.

Leeds fans don't seem to agree with MC challenging the collective TV deal. However, I suspect many WOULD agree with challenging the right of Sky to move matches indiscriminately, especially if the clubs had not signed up for that?!

Agreed

All games before end of Feb, should be sorted before season starts, so everyone knows.

Then once it clear which games are going to vital,
Ie promotion games, then four weeks notice has to be given

I've said it before that the football league, sky, and somebody representing all football clubs should get together when the fixtures are made and plan the tv games before hand, that way they can tell people what game is when and people can plan their holidays or whatever around the fixture list!..

Its wrong having people planning for a game only to have their plans wrecked by tv!..

I'm sure plans could be drawn out before the season starts!..

Why couldn't we play Boro on Saturday evening instead of moving it to Monday? Its just silly things like that.

Cheers for posting this Salonika

Just goes to show whether you hate or love MC,
idiots out there know our club sells papers and
garners eyeballs. They'll print and say out to stir
the pot. Hoping the club statement calms this.
But, somehow, I think it won't.

I think that's the problem with the vast majority of stories about leeds Batty, a lot of them are overhyped or a play on words to get people to click the link. HITC are the worst for it.

And so there you have it, Boro game was offered to be scheduled at 12:30 on Saturday, Leeds refused that.

Paul Bell denies Leeds looking for individual TV rights, yet documents show they are.

Yet another lying shyster in Cellino's harem.
