I think we played alright against the boro, why we can't do that week I week out is anybody's guess, but to hold your own against a side pushing top 2 who have a pretty lethal front 2 was very commendable I thought & we could have won it if it weren't for their keeper....big respect to the boro for their respect of ally brownlee....& of course the side show was excellent !

More generally on the performance it was noticeable right from the very start of the match when about four players converged on Middlesboro forwards after centre and pressed high up the field and kept the ball well that we were showing positive intent.
That is how they need to approach every game, especially at Elland Road whoever it is. If we could do that and produce more in the final third(don't all teams wish that)we'll be a different proposition.
If we manage to keep Cook in the summer(big if) I'd like to see him work hard on his end product and finishing as we need far more goals from midfield than we are currently getting. Same goes for Dallas

Best Fans
Sheff Weds were draw specialists last season, and also struggled to score at home (sure there was a stat on Football League tonight on Saturday regarding going from lowest scorers at home to highest or something like that). So just shows that bit of qualify is worth going for in the summer.

Passing it around for a bit in midfield doesn't constitute a good performance. Apart from when Boro went down to 10 men, did we look like scoring? No.

Mowatt scored ten last season from midfield.
I think he can do it again if he is played in a proper system
I'd like to see a fit Wood and a fit Mowatt playing a 9 and 10 role.
Id also like to see both dallas and carayol playing together.
wood upfront with two wingers and dave given a roaming role with bridcutt the defensive midfielder.

I think Best fans has hit the nail regarding our towards tbh. Carayol should probably come back in but I wouldn't change that side apart from maybe Mowatt for Cook, more lethal

After last season, it's disappointing that Mowatt hasn't pushed on and become a key player in this team. I know he has short comings in this team, but he scores goals out of nothing, and won us a lot of points. With the squad we have, Evans has got to find a place for him in the team.

Interesting... No Cook in your line up.
With what we have I would play the same team.
So... Why am I not finding room in a lower mid table team for clearly such a talented player?

Remember in div 3 when we'd struggle against lower teams who raised their game for matches v is and then afterwards they'd have poor results as if they'd given their all v us.
I fell there's a bit of that now with us. We give it our all against the better teams and then have nothing left against the lesser teams.
Just need more quality.

the Fulham game will be interesting, they are on a bad run, will we play with the same intensity against them as we did against Boro?

You mean the intensity where we ran around in midfield with the ball and never looked like scoring until they went down to 10 men?
