The great FIFA swindle

http://espn.go.com/espn/feature/story/_/id/14767250/the-exclusive-story-how-feds-took-fifa

Have a read at this.

Cant wait for the rest of the corruption to unravel.

Do you reckon there will be any UK suspects?

I wouldn't be surprised to see France and Spain sue FIFA if Qatar are allowed to keep their tournament.

France and Spain were bidding for a summer tournament. They spent millions on their bids when what they were bidding for turned out to be different.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not sure about France, but Spain bid for 2018 not 2022. Not just that, it was actually widely reported in Spain that they'd reached an agreement with Qatar to back each others' bids.

As for Spain poiting the finger at ANYONE over corruption... Last year alone, the Spanish police made somewhere between 1500 or 1600 arrests linked to corruption scandals...As I write, we still have 1200 cases undergoing or awaiting trial...

Perhaps Spain won't sue then so they don't open their doors to their own naughtiness.

I still stand by my initial stance that Prince Ali should get the gig. He wants to shake the whole system up. He has fought against it for a long time and wants a completely transparent set up.

As France purchased theirs in 98, does that mean there could be a case for stripping their trophy that year?

Sporting integrity, financial doping, home advantage!!!!

Cracking lunchtime read

Corrupt FIFA bassas

posted on 25/2/16

That was a really good read.

Hadn't realised the FBI had spent so long and put in so much effort into nailing the corrupt basturds. And the IRS guy pretty much sealed it for them to go after Blazer.

The fact he's got them all on tape possibly discussing bribes and embezzlement means they're all going down once the case goes to court
