The problem with Evans

Evans has one style of management - avoid defeat. He does not know how to attack. He is not encouraging our front line to make runs or to strike the ball on target. He never sounds like he has thought about our opponents’ weaknesses and how we can exploit them. He cannot even find a goal when we are a player up. Worst of all, he doesn't free our front players to create space and opportunity. We know exactly where they will be for the whole game.
Is there a word for creativity in Glaswegian? We don’t have any. We lack pace up front, but we also lack the capacity to surprise the opposition. Evans will keep us up this season and, for that, he deserves to manage us for at least the start of next season. But even with some investment, will we see more goals?

I don't know why you think we're going to get the "better men" you refer to. Cellino wants to buy on the cheap and expects world beaters who will be happy to play for peanuts. If avoiding defeat is the only plan we can afford, it's well past time for change.

What's the use of being hard to beat when you can't score? Just ends in draws all the time and we've lost games at home where we were criminally poor.

Being hard to beat is what you want if your sole aim is to stay up, not challenging for playoffs (which should be minium for this club @ £37 per game/most expensive season tickets).

Evans doesn't like to go for it, because if we attack and end up losing, he loses his job very quickly, he knows this. What must the players think of thier own ability when the manager has so little faith he makes them play defensive at home against anyone?

When you have a lunatic running the show, anything above relegation has to be a bonus. The players SE has brought in are better than what we had - he may not be orthodox but he is currently our manager. Apart from the odd game like Rotherham at home which was probably the worst performance I've ever seen from a leeds team, we are looking comfortable on the ball and competing well. Just lacking some quality. As we all know patience in spades is required when following the once mighty whites.

The only player out was Byram, which of our new recruits is better than Byram?

If the the players who's he's signed are better, how come the results not any better ???

1 either they are not

2 he's getting less out of rest of players

Why do people keep saying we look comfortable on the ball ???

Passing it along the back line isn't comfortable, it's just safe nothing football

And we're competing well ???

The hell with, we've won one game in 10

You might call it unorthodox, I call it a disgrace:

"The Rotherham manager, Steve Evans, has been given a six-match stadium ban and fined £3,000 by the Football Association. Evans was found guilty of "using abusive and insulting words and behaviour" towards a female member of Bradford City's staff when in charge of Crawley Town following a League Two game on 27 March."

The man is an embarrassment, there is a reason why in 22 years of management no one of a higher stature than Rotherham sought to employ him, until we decided to scrape the bottom of the barrel.

Many problems at Leeds, the manager wouldn't be anywhere near the the top of my list. But changing the manager every six weeks would be.

I think it would be pretty high straight after Cellino on most fans lists.

Evans will drive our good players away.

Some nice movement up front, but why the fork can we not get a shot on target? THEY ALL HAD CHANCES TO SCORE TONIGHT!!!
