No Mans Sky has a date!

Huzzah! Next game after dark souls 3 for me

VR is fast approaching and devs have already hinted at this game supporting it, 21st June a VR launch title perhaps?

Amazon is saying the 24th of June ay £49.99

Only a few weeks between its and Uncharterd's release dates means I may hold off to see if there is a price drop.

However if this game is as popular as we expect it to be the price is unlikely to drop this side of Christmas.

I dont think its going to be that popular wire if im to be honest. The casuals wont pick it up, and this prob only going to appeal to a small but dedicated crowd. Its going to sell well for an indie but I honesty seeing it quickly forgotten. People into games will always talk about it, but like firewatch and the witness it wont last much past its intial week of launch.

My mates and I are all pretty excited about it but we could be in a No Man's Sky bubble.

There is no way I'll be finished Uncharted by then so I'll probably hold off pre-ordering No Man's Sky and see what happens with the price.

Think the witness will give a good barometer on how sales will go for other titles like this.

I just really hope the gameplay is up to the level of the concept.

So additional info from an interview with the lead design of no man sky:

There is no multiplayer aspect per se. As in there can be people in the same universe as you but only big changes are "shared". ie you dig a hole minecraft style, will only be in your game, you destroy a space station will be shared as its a big event.

There were strong hints that this WILL not be a vr title at launch. Not being able to confirm or deny the stories Sean Murray stated clearly "his" team had not been working on anything VR. However, the way in which he answered did possible suggest that maybe another team was porting it to vr.

Not sure that's possible given the nature of the game.

Sounds an amazing concept but the size of it is mind boggling Melton mate.
