It is apparent that the rarified air at the top of the Premier League is providing too much for us in terms of stress and the ability to maintain performance levels.
No … not the team … us the supporters.
I have noticed in recent home games the much more tension which has reflected in periods of relative silence for periods in the game whilst the team manages to overcome the increasing challenges the opposition offer and keep winning games –they are performing. We should just be offering unequivocal vocal and noisy support… for 90 minutes
This lack of total commitment also shows on these pages and the press in general as fans find something to moan about at a club operating beyond all our dreams. I read posts about Mahrez – he is not performing because he is thinking about a move to a “ bigger club" – total rubbish of course. Players in this position just want to win- they know this may never happen again – and if they have move aspirations to the really big clubs –they also know that it is now their form matters to these clubs.
Now Kante is in the firing line – because he is reportedly also seeking a big club move…. But it doesn’t stop him turning in world class performances week in week out………. So for Goodness sake –get off his case and just support the team
Look at the end of the season we will buy players – we will put players out on transfer- and some players will seek new clubs … that’s football…
Fans are also using these pages and going to the press with moans about ticket scarcity and the fact that the club is obviously not selling more tickets than there is capacity…..
Suddenly our stadium is a sell out every week and in our new influx of supporters –as well as long term supporters but who have not bought season tickets- there are many who cannot get a ticket… that’s life at the top .. we have to get over it
I shudder to think what will be the reaction on Sunday if we get a West Ham backlash - which I suspect …. I hope it will be to remember what this club has achieved this season and its impact throughout the city and surrounds.
Meanwhile from my current base near Stuttgart I can tell you that my Hoffenheim supporting colleagues here are still Kramaric “mad" –making him MOM last week –even though he didn’t score
Our form is affected...

I'm still not convinced that Kramaric won't be a better long term prospect than Ulloa and Okazaki, although you can't fault the effort of the latter two this season.

Mersey,
..... and me.
I suddenly realise that I've been nervously chewing gum and am shaking on the edge of my seat. Then I probably over compensate by shouting and signing more than usual.
I was vaguely aware that I nearly went into orbit when Wes scored against Southampton.

I've had to apologise this week at work for being hoarse- following the trip to Wearside.
JG - you sit in B2 don't you? There is a modicum of noise from our area these days. You're not the guy that usually ends up ranting at the officials by any chance?

As my season ticket dos not include flights from Qatar i am still to attend a match i have never held or seen a clapper or heard the new noise. My Family are holding the fort for me.
But the difference they come away saying how nervy they feel i watch it on TV and we always look under control
Back for the Everton game or a flying visit before then if you know what happens.
PS is the same ground that we all complained had no atmosphere?

"This lack of total commitment also shows on these pages ......"
Now that is an interesting statement. I must admit that what we say on here doesn't necessarily translate to the terraces. Criticism of individuals or performances is definitely something I wouldn't take to the stadium. For those 90 minutes those players would get nothing but positivity from me.
I do know what the OP means though. I remember getting very frustrated with the negativity and perceived "lack of total commitment" from certain posters during our dramatic ascent from League 1 to the Premier League.

I am all for continuous vocal support throughout the game, but its better to be in varying degrees.
When we go on the attack fill the stadium with dBa levels that unerve the oppositions defenders.
Let them believe they are under attack from 30K
forwards all desending upon their goal.
As for 'get over not having a ticket', i'll never do that!!!!!
Why have I found it easy to buy a ticket for every other game this year bar one. BUT not for possibly the biggest for years.

Sorry for delay Nuneaton... just back for weekend .... no that character is not I- although I know who you mean -he sits at four o' clock from me and a few rows down- however at half time as I sometimes stretch my legs I see him trying to shout at referee as he leaves pitch -but pure anger seems to strangle his outburst at source. I understand from a seat neighbour -he is a most civilised and polite chap in his "normal" life.

He's to my left. His typical rant is 'you're rubbish' (insert 'ref' or 'linesman' as appropriate).
I'd have been surprised if it was you anyway!

By the way -to update on Kramaric... from the fans and area press is as follows.Hoffenheim are deeply embroiled in relegation battle -but have had vastly improved results in recent weeks and have moved just above relegation place. However they have a number of critical games. The consensus is that he will transfer to Hoffenheim if they stay up. He is very popular with fans and press( and new manager) and the club is not only bankrolled by Dietmar Hopp - they have the massive fee from sale of Firmino unspent. This is reason most of my colleagues there blame for their problems - losing Firmino and not re -investing. Kramaric gives every sign of being very happy there in his interviews -and I have heard and read some. There is also a substantial Croat population in Germany and maybe it would be good move for him
Certainly he has put in good performances -not only scoring some key goals - but contributing very much all round ... his Leicester thos paying off
