FA are institutionally jealously opposed to the power of the Premier League and its financial and global impact. They seek any chance to intervene
It will now see the opportunity to assert its own disciplinary impact on the proceedings-especially as one of its own – match official Jonathan Moss is in the firing line. I defer from calling him a referee which suggests someone of judgement and intelligence.
He has long been a much criticised officious –sorry official – by Premier League clubs which sticks in the craw of the Blazers at FA Headquarters. They raised a dignified finger at them last season by appointing him FA cup final referee which even caused uproar amongst the referee fraternity.
So expect Vardy –and with less impact- Carroll to be hauled before the rheumy eyed disciplinary committee on a charge of disrepute … and the result will be a foregone conclusion- a further suspension which will absolutely impact on our dream of winning the Premier League title.
To which they will shrug their shoulders and say –it is the players fault –we are merely applying the rules…. Which is of course rubbish … it will be a calculated and pre –discussed move.
There can be no more better example of bringing the game into ridicule and disrepute –for a global audience- than the performance of all three match officials yesterday – a lesson in incompetence- not so much on individual decisions –but a complete inability to actually referee a match.
For us –we cannot adequately replace Vardy – Okazaki –for all his endeavour – is light years away –as his goals tally shows
There are no winners from these events –except perhaps Spurs- especially not the FA – who will drive a further nail in their own coffin and accentuate the Premier League drive for their own referee establishment and further independence.
Watch out for the Blazers

Tommy We need a maximum of 8 points. I imagine Spurs will drop 3-4 points. We need 5 points from 4 games. Lets get behind the lads. Vardy or not we will do this- just perhaps not as easily as first hoped.

"Teams surrounding the refs shouldn't happen either.... but to argue 'he did it first' is very childlike"
Talking of childlike, isn't it about time Alli got a few more cautions for his petulance and dissent

For once JG, I'm in 100% agreement with you.
Forget individual decisions yesterday, that was the worse attempt of managing a game of football I've seen since our return to the top flight.
If that is the standard of Moss regularly, and reading other comments it appears if worryingly may be, he needs to be removed from the Premier League inmediatly.
I'm still angry about it. Even his pathetic attempt to even it up and give us a spot kick at the death annoys me even though it was to our benefit.
Atrocious.
