Devastated Really... and yet...

The events of yesterday and the ensuing aftermath have been nothing short of devastating to be honest and I can be certain many fellow Foxes feel the same.

To draw against West Ham from the outset would not have seemed so bad, but the manner in which it happened, the controversy and the suspension of Vardy for the Man U game all hurt. Today was a day of recovery yet none would be offered. Vardy gets charged, and the minimum of an extra one match ban almost guaranteed, feels like a kick to the proverbial. Yet there looms the potential for something more tragic. If this wasn't bad enough Leicester are also absurdly charged for not controlling their fans.

Then finally the icing on the cake, a performance from Tottenham so convincing that there's no doubt they are just behind us and raring to take the lead.

Today is a day that it's easy to see the worst.

...and yet...

We need 8 points to guarantee the title. This is a daunting target now, especially with Vardy out but is it really so bad? The team without Vardy can get on against Swansea and although pressured we need, and so therefore best expect, a win there. Man U could be scary and with them having a lot to play for might cause problems but in reality it's hard to see us not getting at least a draw. That leaves a win and a draw between Everton and Chelsea.

In many ways given our season these seem like pessimistic predictions so even with the pressure on we can call them at least realistic.

However.... This still all assumes Spurs win all their remaining games. Yet they only need to finish with a single draw to completely change the maths of this battle. If they draw a game and win the rest just a win against Swansea and Everton would guarantee the league. We could lose the other two and it would still be enough!

The charge against Vardy does cast a shadow but it's hard to see the FA justifying more than a single extra match. While not impossible, the backlash created by the lack of constancy between Vardy's offense and others (Costa's is a good example) would be too great. Losing Vardy for two games will hurt but when he returns he'll be on a mission at least!

UTF - The league still snugly in our hands!

Calm down mate, why is everyone panicking? We came back from 1-2 down with 10 men and proved what we're all about and showed that our bubble isn't going to burst. Before the game it was one we could afford to draw so who cares what Spurs are doing? We're still five points clear and they haven't been able to catch us all season so not sure what the panic is?

We'll beat Swansea and then we'll only need five points max and I think we'll beat United too with or without Vardy. We still have Ulloa and Okazaki will play Vardy's role as that's his natural position. He does the donkey work for us but his natural position and where he's best, is playing on the shoulder of the last defender. It will be a chance for him to shine.

Let's also not forget who our main striker was last season, it wasn't Vardy, it was Ulloa and we will be getting balls into the box and will still score goals. Whenever Vardy doesn't score, we have other players who step up.

Spurs won't win every game, not a chance. They will drop points at some stage.

People keep banging on about fooking pressure, we've been ticking over nicely getting points. In the last game we were down to 10 min for most of the 2nd half and still got a point after going behind.

How we cope without Vardy will define our season, not pressure.

We coped without him last season when Ulloa was our main striker. We'll just change our style of attack and will be getting balls into the box for Ulloa to get on the end of.

We might even see Gray start with Mahrez in the middle with Okazaki playing Vardy's role. Clearly nobody watches Japan but I do and Okazaki's best position is playing on the last defender but has to do the donkey work for us so doesn't get to play the way he wants to.

This Leicester side have bottle and a great team spirit and are still 5 points clear.

I wouldn't panic if I was you.

The big moment will end up being the game you won at the lane I feel, we dominated and were inches from taking the lead when hitting the bar only for our own two defenders to run into each other in the box allowing Huth to snatch the win.

Arsenal are the only team to have really shown their class and played us off the park in their first win against us and then snatching that second win.

Taking four points off our nearest rival could probably turn out to be crucial in the end.
