Peterborough V Blackpool

Football's a crazy game - Leicester win the Premiership, whilst Blackpool are heading for the drop down into League Two.

Nice one, Leicester! Good also that you did it under a fine manager, and with some players, from the EU (TF!)

The last time we played Blackpool at home on the final day of a season (2011, I believe), Blackpool were promoted to the Premiership whilst we were relegated from the Championship. Peterborough on that day was awash with orange, and there was an abundance of bonhomie between both sets of fans.

If Blackpool are to stay up in League One, they will have to beat us on Saturday, and Fleetwood will have to lose.

I'm therefore expecting to see a merry band of Seasiders at Charters on Sunday, especially after the game if they avoid the drop.

I wish them luck and hope that their despised owners clear off over the summer.

UTP, though!

"Peterborough United defender Gabriel Zakuani says he wants to stay at the League One club but knows Sunday versus Blackpool "could be his last game"." (BBC)

Well, I hope Gaby stays. He's been a warrior for Posh and is still only 29. Against him, would be the fact that he is occasionally away playing for his home country, the DR Congo. He's a through-and-through Posh man, though, with a young family that he does not want to uproot. Come on, Darragh, give the man a new contract - his experience can help the team, especially the youngsters. And the fans love him.

Not bad, Snapski, an away win at the Champions elected.

We woke up at half-time to demolish poor old Blackpool, with Jon Taylor excelling (a hat-trick after coming on in the 72nd minute).

That's the end of another season for us.

My Posh player of the season: our little Liverpudlian Jon Taylor.

Promotion next season? Yes, why not.

UTP!

TP look now at the big clubs in the championship, look at who you could have been playing.Over half the teams would have brought over 5 thousand fans to Posh.
Bit like Bullseye!! lets see what you could have won !!

TF, we weren't consistent enough to win promotion to the Championship, so the dream is postponed until next season; when, at least, we'll have some derby games against Northampton and the MK Dons.
