TBH Cannigia i'd still say our season had been a failure if we'd gone up, we spent a lot of money and should have been top 2 (I know nothings concrete in football but surely that should have been the aim).
We'll see next season how good Mel is, he told us there'd be no embargo so if there is then he should be held accountable for that. Hopefully though we tighten our belts again and get rid of some of the deadwood and start again. Oh the joys of being a footy fan

Don't think FFP will effect Derby as the rules count losses over three seasons so they'll have structured payments on all the transfers to ensure they're manageable.

What can you say, DM? Mixed messages from Mel didn't help, particularly when saying promotion wasn't the aim when it is every championship club's aim (realistically or otherwise). Think he has a big summer ahead of him as he needs some forward momentum in the managerial position. Warlock wouldn't be a bad call IMO. One of only a few who could manage some of the egos such as Ince.

Getting rid of the deadwood may be harder than envisaged though. Just as ffp has been managed signings-wise, some of those transfer fees were OTT, particularly Bradley Johnson's. Getting them off the wage bill and persuading another club to pay a realistic fee may be very difficult. Better to try and get a real motivator of a manager in and see if he can push their buttons.

I'm surprised at the lack of interaction from the AFC Telford fans, Redforever. They get tagged in threads more than any other team in the country. Been waiting for a number of years for one of them to break their silence. 😜
