Saw someone earlier say that the merchandising contract had cost rangers millions.

I believe the club gets 4% of sales? If that's the case, then with no risk and no investment it's not a bad deal (the only contentious bid was that rangers would buy back unsold merchandise).

In any case, the blame goes straight back to Sdm for this. He basically mortgaged the club's future in the original deal with Jjb. It's been downhill from there as far as merchandising goes.

I'm not sure how much the club actually expect to earn on ROS.

Ginger..exactly my point before I went off to see Brendan, walking past the Celtic superstore on the way.
4% with no risk or investment.....not too shabby. Not sure how much the bears expect to make from any new deal...or where the funding will come from.
