For once can we give a manager a chance without getting the knives out after the first game?Ever since Rosler was sacked that was the final straw and I stopped following leeds, but now we have a decent manager again, someone who will build something for the long term, who will play with young players and modern coaching methods, for once can we give him a realistic chance? Not 10 games, I mean 2 years, to actually set something up and build something. Leeds is one of the hardest jobs in football, miracles are not going to happen overnight

Do do you support Monk or not Jonty?

"Jonny was getting at, they accept the job, not under duress, knowing that it will end one way."
Actually no, what I am getting at is that "they," in this case Garry Monk, think they are different. By way of example, perhaps, they wont speak publicly or conflict with the Big C and thus by showing the respect they believe he is due, he will leave them to get on with the job. My point is ultimately, the Big C will treat everybody as poorly as he has treated everybody else.

Perth, and maybe others, heard of predicting the worst or inevitable but hoping for the best?
I'm just saying...

I fully support Monk but still think he's daft to work with MC.
Maybe he knows something we don't but the news about Taylor today suggests otherwise.

Your buddy seems to believe we should hear the constant drone of misery whenever he posts (he's never here when we do well! which has been noted by others not just me)
You've been on here long enough to have seen his running commentary. It's not that folk necessarily think he's wrong all the time, it's the fact that he feels the need to churn it out so regularly. Anyone with an opposing view is ridiculed by him and his platoon of wizards. That's the thing that grates...!
When the team loses, we don't need him adding to the woes, we're miserable enough ourselves.
It would be pleasant to see him actually supporting.
You went to more games last year than he did.

Re the article he's just posted, I said recently that we'll lose our youngsters. I think we'll lose him Cook and Mowatt.
I don't think it's right and I don't agree with it but under the circumstances and under the regime we currently have who can blame them for going...?
All we can hope is that Massimo Cellino gives the money to G Monk and tells him to get out and replace them.

But it seems Taylor has decided not to commit to a new deal, leaving Leeds – who lost fellow full-back Sam Byram to West Ham during January in similar circumstances – with little option but to sell.
I don't think Cellino was planning on selling him but if his hand is forced then £5mill isn't enough in my opinion.

Cellini, has to sell so done to raise funds to balance the books. An embargo looms if we don't sell soon.
Taylor would stay IMO if he was offered a decent contract with the knowledge that Monk had funds to build a decent team.
He will get neither as MC needs to sell.

Excuse that post - didn't check it.
He needs to sell to raise funds.
