will not sell any of the new shirts until they are informed by the club that they are happy for them to do, they have said that they'd do same for Celtic if they were in same situation, Glasgow is their city and Rangers and Celtic are their clubs, they have an onus to protect their best interests.
excellent moral standpoint from a business.

Let's be honest and not kid ourselves on the decision by Greaves was done for purely business reasons. As much as it's a good statement.
They knew had they sold them, then Rangergers fans would boycott them and that's half their customers. In their statement they added in the Celtic comment, as had they not done so then the other half would also boycott. They've just covered both bases.
As for Puma, SD are still the UK's biggest sports retailer. Puma have looked at the money they get from us (and potential future losses) and the potential losses from SD and went with them. No doubt SD said we wont sell any Puma stuff, unless you give us the new kits. All every party cares about is coin. Then they spin it differently after the event - a bit like the Tory kants in government.
