Captain?

Why have we still not appointed an official captain with our first game of the season just around the corner? Does anyone know what's gping on here? Even if it's been passed on to Mertesacker why has there been no announcement?

I think it should be cazorla. Only cech can match his experience but santi has been with us longer. And he is clearly hugely respected by everyone at the club. Big personality too. I'd be happy with him giving team talks even as a sub, I know there are questions over his fitness this year.
