I have been feeling down about our clubs chances all summer, and the Burnley game was the straw that broke the camel's back to the point i am creating an account on a forum just to vent my anger, even though i saw it coming a mile off and know there's more of this crap to come, it still angers me.
When Jurgen was appointed last year i was beyond excited, i knew there would be initial teething problems while he installed his philosophy, but i thought the signing of one of the best managers in the world would mean one thing, surely surely FSG would stop this transfer committee rubbish and sign us players that will help us compete at the top?
But no, the summer windows of 2011 and 2014 were humiliating enough but this one really takes the mick, while United are signing Bailey, City are signing Stones and Chelsea and Everton are chasing Koulibaly, who are we singing in that position? Klavan, fecking Klavan (why can't we swear on here?), an unknown 30 year old who's proven nothing for £5m, i mean seriously? Chelsea and United (both WITHOUT Champions League just like us) sign Kante and Pogba, who do we sign to compete with that? Wijnaldum, a midfielder who was inconsistent in a side that went down.
Also it's no secret that Asmir Begovic wants to leave Chelsea for first team football, why the hell are we not all over that one? let me guess the £10m Chelsea would ask for is too much, so we sign a keeper who has barely played for Germany at youth level.
Mane is a decent signing is we want to finish 6th, not to get back to where we rightly should be.
This signing youth projects policy and bargain basements like Klavan is really grating me, we moan that our top players always leave us yet we show no fecking ambition to make them want to stay, we are very lucky we have convinced a world class manager to join us, that's the one element we currently can compete with Chelsea, United and City on, so lets use it to our advantage and back him like they have backed the world class manager's they have.
The TV deals leave us no excuse, if Bournemouth can spend £15m on one player then we can at least spend £100m a summer and offer the wages to tempt the top players, if we are going to carry on with this project and bargain basement crap why is Klopp here? we might as well appoint Sean Dyche, he's use to working on restrictions and won't mind, Jurgen at Liverpool under our current policy is akin to having Megan Fox in you're bed while she says you can do anything you want to her and all you do is hug her, what's the fecking point?
What was the point of appointing Klopp?

The likes of Wijnaldum and Mane are fine players but were they really necessary. A top CB, GK, LB and ball playing midfielder should have been priority. Liverpool have plenty of good attackers.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mane was definitely necessary, he adds what we didn't have from the attacking midfield 3, pace. My thoughts of Wij, are documented on here. A really poor signing for me.

Coutinho and Firmino aren't exactly slow.

Yeah Liverpool don't have any proper wingers so Mane was needed. Still think they need a pacy wideman for the left as well.

I think the point in appointing Klopp was to improve Liverpool and make a push for the top 4, he's a great manager, let him do his stuff.

When are we going to learn? When are we going to accept that every few weeks this Liverpool team will give you some sort of thrill? They’ll make you think there’s more to them than a casual one-in-four performance rate and that maybe, just maybe…..
Then two minutes into the very next match, you’ll be staring wide-eyed and horrified at another set of fans bouncing up and down in delight while you quietly sigh and go “aaah, this again…”

Excellent article, some very valid points.

The balance of the team is wrong. We have decent firepower now but not a decent DM player to cover and give the defence enough support
You can break us down far to easily
Klavan, well. Really we may as well of kept Skrtel. I thought Matip would play?
We seem to have quite a few defenders just none of them good enough and we don't have a leader there. Lovren is anything but a leader & organiser and the others?
As for Moreno, surely playing one of the kids at LB would be better unless that is genuinely going to be Milners new position. Our highest paid player...LB!
Somethings not right somewhere...

Creates an account when we lose a game.
What a melt.. and for his "I have been feeling down about our clubs chances all summer"
Even when we thrashed Barca 4-0?
Sock account methinks.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What did we do after we beat Barca 4-0? We went and lost by the same score to Bundesliga relegation fodder.
7 years of LFC summed up in two games, so no it didn't excite me or make me think anything would change.
