He needs to be given time and support in the transfer market to bring in players that suit him more.
-------

He has signed 3 of his old players.
People were raving about his signings because they all looked like "monk" signings.

Then they started playing and now he needs more time and support.

We have been having this same conversation for over a decade now. We as fans need to sit down and accept the fact that we are a championship club from top to bottom, then we need to allow them to slowly build the club back up with a clear plan. They cannot do this because of pressure from the fans to have instant success. A manager cannot just walk in to a club and know all the faults in the team, hes not psychic, it takes time and games to build momentum and a system that works. It may well take Monk months or even years just to build a side now, can Leeds fans wait that long? all I'll say is if they don't we are going to keep having this conversation for years to come

The conversation we've been having, which one?..

The one where player's ain't up to the job?..

Or the how long will the coach last one?..

A club can be successful, but without the right running this conversation is never going to end!..

So, that side of the fence or the other, some see it as it is, and some just let it go on and on!..

"sit down and accept the fact that we are a championship club from top to bottom"

Odd that one, apart from me being one that's said that a few times, the clubs that get promoted from this league are championship clubs from top to bottom as well!..

Leedsforever has hit the nail in the head for me.

Our dreams of a quick return to the Prem are over. We need to calm down a little, it's going to take longer than we would all like.

That being said with the Big C and GFH still in place there is little to no hope of success. The shadow of Zbates still casts a heavy and dark cloak over the place with the grim reaper seeming unwilling to let go.

Constant pressure for instant success can only end in tears.

As they used to say to South African army conscripts "vasbyt!"

Or is it more the case that he took the job that nobody else wanted? Poisoned chalice and all that...

Couldn't agree more - changing manager every 6 months and bringing in 10-12 new players every season is never going to work unless we're very lucky...need to start building foundations and good playing relationships across the pitch.

The club has sold its star players for over a decade and if you're a season ticket holder paying over £500 a year which for a championship club is a lot of money, then you expect something back and at least a decent long term plan, there's absolutely nothing though we go through season after season doing really poor business and chopping and changing coaching staff.

There's no plan what so ever, why should the fans accept anything but a properly run club?

We ain't getting into the playoffs, we'll be lucky to finish above 15th the way we're going.

Complete and utter rubbish

Nobody is expecting or demanding promotion.

Infact our expectations have been lowered

And to totally p iss on your bonfire. The club promised play offs this season

Somebody promised Premier league starting this year!..

Now I wonder who that was?..

He also promised refunds on all season tickets if we didn't get top 6 this season.

Can't wait to hear his excuses for that.
