GOODBYE THEO AND OX

Hopefully after all this time it is time to say goodbye to these two young bright British stars who have lit up the Arsenal team over the past few seasons.

Realised Theo was not up to it a long time ago but now sorry to say the Ox is on a rather sharp decline also.

They should never start in the strongest starting eleven other than for injured players or League Cup games. Hopefully Wenger has finally given up on these two.

Yesterday Walcott was completely running down the wrong channels yet again forcing Perez out onto the wing. Theo just confuses everyone with his complicated non existent football brain including his team mates. The Ox was I'm sorry to say very poor.

Iwobi did more than these two put together when he came on for a short period. He has more skill and technical ability than these two and has the ability to change a game.

The bench or a lesser club are all Theo and the Ox can hope for.

This in my opinion should be the strongest starting eleven.

Cech

Bellerin Mustafi Kos Monreal

Cazola Ozil Xhaka Coq

Sanchez Giroud

Bench GK Iwobi Ramsey Perez Welbeck Holding Ox/Walcott

No place for Per Gibbs Ox/Walcott

Obviously this is in a ideal world when everyone is fit. We can only hope.

That is the way Lucas Perez plays, he runs the channels. He isn't a penalty box player.

That's exactly what I mean about our balance is wrong. So many players running down friggin channels.

I think we'd be better a lot of times playing 442.

DJ, exactly that what I'm saying Walcott was running down the channels that Perez should have been making and getting in everyone's way, surely you could see this. Walcott should have stayed out on the wing a lot more, the runs he was making offered nothing to the midfield players whatsoever. Perez must have wondered what was going on. In other words get out of the way Theo.

Aye? When you run the channels you are taking the space away from a winger, who then must run right to centre (or left to centre). Walcott most definitely shouldn't have stayed wide, as not only does it congest the wide area with Lucas there, it also stops Bellerin pushing on.

The fact that Lucas Perez actually was drifting to the left far more than the right, as is natural for him, only confounds your confusion.

DJ you are talking utter rubbish. You cannot say why and how you run the channels. It depends on the game situation and where your team mates are at the time. There are no set rules on running the channels. . Its all about knowing when and how and Mr Walcott like you has not got a clue !

But you said where Walcott should have been and where Lucas should have been. Easy for anyone who has played football to know you are talking BS.
If your striker is running the channels, and you have an attacking full back, you simply do not stay wide.

Cannot think of occassions yesterday when Lucas and Theo were getting in each others way anyway. It was more Lucas on the left, with Ox not having the awareness/desire to make the move centrally, meaning when play got switched to Wallcott and Bellerin on the right the box was devoid of anyone.

DJ

Wouldn't bother trying to explain anything to this simpleton.

The OP has shown a team set up as 4-4-2 with a midfield of
Cazola Ozil Xhaka Coq

I think you need to rethink how your proposed team is set up.

Wouldn't go with a 442 like that but the Ops entitled to have s opinion.
