So what happened to Raphael Verane?

Does the signing of Phil Jones mean that Man U are not signing Raphael Verane?

He has exams, so will not enter negotitations until then. No joke.

OK. But will Man U still remain interested in him now that they've signed Phil Jones? How many defenders do they need?

Well Varane can play DM as well, like Jones. He's very tall (i think 6'3'', but really good techincally.

Plus, he will be a lot cheaper since Lens got relegated from ligue une, and they have a bit of financial trouble.

i think we're still going to sign him, considering the departure of o'shea and brown seems more and more likely...

Well he plays in a similar stlye to Smalling. Both are dubbed the next Ferdinand and so I dont think we need him really

Smalling has proven he is ready at the age of 21 to play 1st team football and being english, eh will probably stay for life. Same for Jones so I dont see a spot for Verane
