After a great debut season, culminating with a wonder strike in the FA Cup final, there were few people doubting Alexis had the quality to be an Arsenal great. He scored 25 that season, mainly from wide.
His second season wasn't quite so prolific - a lull in form either side of a hamstring injury halfway through the season - but he still scored 17.
Now he has started this season in goal scoring form, and playing as the main striker. 5 in 7 - not bad
And he has helped Chile to two Copa America titles, and been named player of the tournament in the second, since he joined Arsenal.
All the signs are there that the next 100 appearances could be even better
And there will be another 100 for Arsenal - at least.

As we negotiate his contract I would rather keep him and let Ozil go if the german wants to go which I doubt anyway.
I saw a city fan last night talk about how they will bid for him but they were told to fok off in the summer.Dont understand why they will come back again.

Love him. Cam be frustrating at times but always makes up for it. I read earlier he's now scored vs every PL team except Middlesbrough(has never played them) and Bournemouth

Excellent players. He seems to always give his all, and then some. Wanted him at City before he went to Barca. Probably still take him.
And he'd come if Pep wanted him.

I still feel he's hit and miss (aren't most our players!) but hopefully the consistency comes these season. He is a match winner. 100%.

The most impressive thing about Alexis is how quickly he has adjusted to the CF position. I think all that training with Messi has rubbed off. I was very worried that Alexis wouldn't be able to adjust and be shunned to the wing all too quickly like Theo was last season.
I think Wenger would be senile to move Alexis. And Perez should be his backup not Giroud.

Alas, the issue wasn't about him being fit for the first few games. The problem we cannot afford is what happened last season, where fatigue led to a slow down in performance and then the inevitable injury.
Only time will tell this season, but I certainly wasn't talking about him being fit for the first month of the season.
