According to Sky Sources his representatives have held talks with us.
Personally i am undecided with his arrival, would he be a 1st choice starter for us ahead of Nani and Valencia?
Perhaps Fergie is looking to strengthen on the wings with Giggs due to retire.
Breaking News: Ashley Young

Liverpool fan in peace ( sort of), do you lot really thing Young is good enough for UTD and do you really need a winger, when he was linked with us i was a bit unsure weather he would cut the mustard, there are many better winger out there than him, but he is atleast English, what do you all think?

Name those who would be willing to move to Man U?
I can only think of Alexis Sanchez, and he's wanted by the world!

Alexis Sanchez is a man united fan,but getting him is.extremely difficult. The udinese chairman is hard to deal with.

I think Ashley Young was Man U's second choice after Alexis Sanchez. When Man U learnt that Sanchez had opted for Barca, they went in for Ashley Young instead.

i think he would be a really good signing... adds even more speed to our attack and gives us a lot more options..

lord, i hope not, i don't rate young at all.
his only benefit is englishness to meet the homegrown quota.

Why do people persist in this buying titles nonsense? Look at who United bought last summer, still won the title. Compare their spending to Chelsea, City and Liverpool and they still win titles whilst only Chelsea can boast that they won the title. United's success has been underpinned by home grown talent which is why they've won so many and made so much money allowing them to go out and buy players. Clubs like Liverpool have spent much more and had relatively little success.
Admittedly I don't see Young playing ahead of Valencia or Nani but Giggs will be phased out this season so expect Young to still play 30 games or so. Plus he can play behind the striker so may be a good foil to rest Rooney with.

From a Chelsea fan? Seriously!?
I think Young would be a great signing, creates loads of chances, can play well on the left wing where we need a consistant player (Nani isn't that great on the left). Would be a grat addition to the squad IMO.
BTW, we will sign more that 3 players, people need to stop listening to what Fergie says during transfer windows!
