...if Jason Koumas signed?
It would leave Meggy with a nice little headache, he is clearly the kind of player we need to create chances/goals from CM as that is his forte, lines is creative but he hasnt really shown what he can do as of yet and if Koumas came in Lines would only be back to him.
Where would Meggy put him? There are a few options to consider.
Option 1 - If we put him behind a lone striker that would leave out 3 strikers who would then become unhappy, esp as two of whom has just signed, one who has started to hit form and the other who's hard working and passionate so who would get the nod?
Option 2 - We place him in CM where we have Prutton and Semedo who are pretty simular which leaves little chance of creativity in CM, we have the creativity out wide but i think we need it in the centre too give the oposition something else to worry about other than two dangerous wingers and for me Koumas would be perfect for us to link CM with attack, Jesus & Semedo cannot offer that in abundance like Koumas can.
But this is where the problem lies, we need both Semedo and Jesus in the same team too as Prutton can score a few, gets stuck in and is a character which is important and we need Semedo too who is a very solid, tough CM which we badly need too so its a catch 22 situation we would be in if he came here.
Option 3 - Place him out wide left with Marshall on the right. Whilst Koumas isnt naturally a winger, he has played there many times earlier in his career and can put in a decent ball, cut into the centre to thread through balls but again it would'nt give us much creativity in CM.
Or...
Option 4 - Play him in a three man CM with Semedo and Jesus as he would be licenced to get forward and support the three man attack of Marshall, Whoever meggy decides to play as striker, and JJ. Again this would leave out 3 strikers but the lone man would get more support from out wide.
Vote 1 to 4 for which option you would go for. I'd be inclined to go for the Option 4 myself as its a good attacking formation and one what would leave Semedo and Jesus in the same side, in their prefered positions and give Koumas the freedom to get forward and support th front 3, as ive stated.
Only snag is though that Meggy wont use this formation as he likes 4,4,2 and 4,5,1 but thats what i'd do.
UTO!!!
What would we do...

Don't think we'll sign him anyway.

Me neither but IF we did though, mind you Meggy hinted last week that the deal wasnt dead?

Option 4 would leave us too open at the back also Marshall & JJ would have to get back to defend & JJ never gets back to defend.
Option 3 for me & use JJ as inpact sub 75min in the game.

Stop talking rubbish guys. Doesnt matter what option you pick, he would limp off injured in the first 15mins and we will be back to Madine and Clint as the only options again.

Option 2 Play him as a CM.
Then we would have good depth in there with Semado and Koumas as the starting pair and then Lines and Prutton as the second string, with O'Conner as boot boy !
We really need a player of his flair and creativity to go with another winger and some forwards !
