Bale v inter was world class performance wise. I haven't seen anything from pogba I'd consider in that bracket.

Ffs Pogba is world class. He Iniesta and Modric are the top 3 CMs in the world bar none BAR NONE. If you think Pogbas shiiiit because you think watching Pogba for like five games in the euros makes you a Pogba expert you're furrrking reeetarded

Also the £90m isn't based on Pogba's ability alone. I'd say a good chunk of it was spent with his marketability in mind, not to mention his age and contract length.
----

How marketable is Pogba exactly?? He was not exactly a global superstar before this summer. The vast majority of casual football followers knew little about his ability till this summer (when he got linked to a world record move to the biggest clubs in the world) and outside the world of footy he was virtually unheard of.

I personally can't see marketability as any sort of justification for the fee...

We (over)paid for potential... not the worst thing that's been done in football, so no need to put any lipstick on this pig.

If I remember correctly, Gareth Bale joined Real Madrid for a world record fee when he was Paul Pogba's age.

The timing of the announcement for Asia and America, the pictures, #pogback hashtag, the Adidas videos leading up to the signing and the music video with Stormzy suggest United and Adidas know just how marketable he is, and Adidas are the best in the game.

Nope... more like United and Addidas desperate to market a product that no one (in that part of the world) has heard off...

In Suarez's first full season in the PL he scored fewer goals than Grant Holt; in his first season in La Liga he was outscored by Ronaldo by a ratio of exactly 3 to 1.

Rubbish.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bitey only cost 25 mil or so for Pool, when he went to Barca for 75 mil he didnt need time to settle in
----------------------------------------------------------------------
well 25m then is more like 40m now, so hardly a snip; and he was outscored in his first season in spain by alberto bueno, so for close to a world record fee it was hardly a stellar performance.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
So Pogba was about 100 grand in 1960, so give the guy a break

If you hadn't heard of Pogba then you wouldn't be interested in football anyway. He wasn't some unknown player ffs
