Another mundane week with nothing new to report at Derby County Football Club, finds us with the matter of a football match against an irritating bunch of Dirties......nominally aka Leeds United 💩
Leeds are a team synomonous with cheating and playing dirty -allegedly - and will always have fans who don't work trying to defend and hide their well deserved reputation by making pathetic postings on message boards along with their puerile attempts to win friends 😥
Derby County meanwhile have a new manager. Steve McClaren is sort of known to the Derby fans after having spent time working here at the iPro a few years ago. He should get a warm welcome but if you are not sure about his past connections with the Mighty Rams, just google it.
And he's said "sorry".
Apparently Jason and Craig Are available but would you replace Alex with Jason? and whilst we have a good record against Leeds, they are confident (see other postings nauseum) and are expecting to win comfortably. Will we get a new manager bounce with wotsisname?
Team news to arrive when someone posts.

Has Cat found her new Bucko?

In terms of Anya I stand corrected he played right wing back at times when Watford played 3 at the back, so not a natural full back, although think he did play left back once or twice in Premier....not sure though.

I agree with Iwas, especially about one of the two. He did nothing for the first 60 minutes and only looked interested after he was tackled and they sang a rude song about his dad.

Again, same as Christie. The crowd need to give him a break

He needs to man up or go out on loan.

Vydra's movement was good. He made a lot of runs but the only times a ball was fed to him was Johnson's lofted pass in the first half and the ball for the offside goal. Vydra is not a back to goal player at all but that doesn't mean he can't play as a sole striker.
Interesting people will cling to their pet hatred of players no matter what. I thought Ince did little on the ball all game but I did think he worked hard, as did all of the players. The front three players did a lot of running around doing the high press in the first half and the two that were still on the pitch at the end were dead on their feet. I hope both are rested on Tuesday as they wont last another 90 minutes.
Pearce and Johnson were our best players for me today.

I don't think that was too uncomfortable to be fair, we took the pressure, had a bit of luck but on the whole deserved the 3 points & it was great to see Powell & McClaren showing some fantastic passion on the touchline, I really think that transferred on to the pitch. Well Mr McClaren it would appear all its forgiven for the time being (ok)

Draw fair result for me. We hit the bar twice and you had a half chance with Vydra in first half and obviously the goal in second half (albeit from a handball). Other than that neither team created much
Storey but disagree with a draw was a fair result Leeds gave it a good go but considering the situation between the 2 clubs I think a Derby side low on confidence just edged it by wanting it more. Also it appears to be the usual dirty Leeds
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Dirty Leeds? I assume you didn't see the horror tackle by Bradley Johnson on Kemar Roofe in the 2nd half? Definite sending off.

I don't agree with folk saying Leeds were dirty yesterday. I never saw a nasty tackle all game from either team. When Anya went off it was just a hard fair tackle by Bartley. The tackle by Johnson was nowhere near a red card. Today's non contact game a yellow card was right but the Leeds player made a bigger deal out of it. Draw maybe a fair result but derby took their chance and should have had the game wrapped up before the Leeds pressure in the last 10 mins. You take your chances and don't concede then you deserve to win

Let's see how the season pans out eh?
I'd take our position over yours.

Hamp, I work with a Leeds fan and we talk about the state of each club quite a bit, he'd take your position over ours, but still not good enough, he'd take our owner over yours, he'd take your away following over ours but interesting he'd wishes Leeds had the home crowds that Derby get, I told him the home crowd at Derby has been a problem over the last couple of years getting on the players backs too much.
