Neither do I Michael but then again we both have about the same chance of playing them, you and I, and I'm not exactly hopeful
Owen doesn't fear barca

I know you was joking but I just think he's good squad player.

A good squad player but a waste of space on the bench, I'd take Berba any day of the week. Rooney and Chicharito to start away and play on the counter, Welbeck on for some added pace late on and Berba to start at home when teams park the bus.

Owen is more likely to come on and grab a goal than Berba. DB plays his best football when he starts a match

Ive nothing against owen, think he's great but i'll never work out why he was on the bench instead of berba in the final

To me Owen and Chicharito have similar styles of play, they have the same finishing ability but Owen has lost his pace. Maybe Berba does play better when he starts, however I still rather have him on the bench to bring something different to the side.
Rooney, Berba, Welbeck, Chicharito all have different attributes and have a differing degrees of experience, a very good blend

blademaster thats why i was surprised owen was on the bench and not berba, because putting on owen for hernandez was basically putting on the same style striker!

Owen will play in at least 20 games this season, CC, FA Cup and the tail end of CL groups with the odd legue game thrown in

Berbatov is brilliant to bring on when you want to keep the ball or need some creativity, but if you want a goal out of the two Owen is your man.

Trotter in peace.
Michael Owen, when fit, is still one of the most dangerous and feared predators in the premiership. So is Dimitar Berbatov. Both players know exactly where the goal is and I don't know of any defender who would say 'I love playing against them'
However, in my humble opinion Michael Owen just about shades it as an out and out goal getter which is often what you need when throwing on the extra attacker in a tight game.
No offence to Berbatov who is still a class player but if it were me i'd prefer to have Owen as an available option. It's a shame that a player who could have led England's line for years and years has had so many injuries but when fit he can still show why he was and remains such a force to be reckoned with.

Owen scored the winner when we beat them 2-1 but also missed a sitter in the US tour. Over 2 games I believe we will have a better chance like in 2008 when we beat them. I say this as Barcelona don't play as good in the Knockout rounds as the final. However if we do play them in a final again I hope we play in the red home kit as we have good luck. We beat them in the Us tour with the red kit and in 2008. We lost the 2 finals with the away kit and drew away in 2008 missing a penalty.
Maybe Barcelona get scared when Man utd wear there red red devils kit or maybe it is spiritual:D
