You underestimate how much Mexico rely on the US. They have an enormous trade surplus, if Trump stopped trade between the two countries Mexico would collapse overnight.

Mexico is the US third largest trading partner. While it would cripple Mexico it would also severely damage the US economy too.

In regard to the wall. It will never be built. It is impossible. The costs of construction would run into the tens of billions. Then there is the fact that tunnels have been built, so it would need to go deep underground, as well as being enormous.

What DT also failed to recognise is that the wall could not be built over water…

As seen with the migrant crisis when people are desperate, they will find a way.

1. Mexico could not afford to build it. Nor would they pay for it.
2. Constucting the wall is logistically and finanically impossible.
3. It would not stop Mexican immigration as they would simply circumvent it.

yes agreed, but you need the foresight to look past how he is as a person and how he will be as a leader and they can't do that.
