Oh ahhhh Halfy ahhh, say ohh ahhh Halfy ahhh.... Did you guys miss me ?

Fear not, it's now time for your next instalment, and I just know your salivating in anticipation of the this awsome / captivating match thread

------------------------------------------------------------

Preston captain Tom Clarke is the only North End player to start in every Championship game this season

New Wolves boss Paul Lambert takes charge for the first time as his side, 19th in the Championship, face 12th-placed Preston at Deepdale.

North End midfielder Alan Browne is suspended for one more game but Ben Pearson return from his ban.

Aiden McGeady and Bailey Wright are back from international duty, while striker Stevie May is back in full training after a long-term knee injury.

Wolves are without Wales midfielder David Edwards through suspension.

He picked up his fifth booking in nine games in the 3-2 home defeat by Derby, immediately prior to Lambert's appointment, but fellow internationals Romain Saiss, Jon Dadi Bodvarsson, Dominic Iorfa and Kortney Hause have all returned without issues.

Goalkeeper Carl Ikeme is a doubt, in which case stand-in Andy Lonergan would face against his old club.

Lambert starts his reign without several injured players, including Joe Mason, Ola John and Prince Oniangue.

Wolves head coach Paul Lambert told BBC WM:

"I know we need to do better than what we're doing to get out of this league.

"I need to try to make the players hungry for success, but the big thing for me is the fan base.

"We'll have our good days and bad days but they'll still come to Molineux in their thousands to watch us and we're going to need them."

Analysis

BBC Radio Lancashire's Phil Cunliffe: "North End fans have had two stress-free weeks to admire the team's position in the table following their first ever win at Rotherham's New York Stadium.

"PNE hauled in 10 points from a possible 15 in the block of games between the international breaks - all very impressive considering they included fixtures against high-flyers Norwich, Brighton and Huddersfield.

"But given their 'momentum' - a much lauded word in football - many fans might have preferred to play on rather than have a fortnight off.

"Wolves will have used the break to re-group under new boss, Paul Lambert and could prove awkward opponents.

"Ironically, it's virtually a year to the day since Lambert took charge of his first Blackburn Rovers game - a 2-1 success at Deepdale - something that North End will be wary of."

Not that Wolves know much about scoring goals. Only 41 from 39 games in 2016 so far. Top scorer in that time is Saville with 6
