One January signing...

I think we've been pretty OK so far this season but in the final third we are really struggling. We have nobody to get in behind defenders, stretch them and this is making us really easy to defend against.

Son changed the game yesterday for that very reason and I feel that if we are able to challenge by the time the end of the season comes, we will need one January signing that will add that dynamic to our team...

This is simply hypothetical as we know that Levy will not add in Jan, especially as we will probably be out of the CL by then... But who would you realistically sign?

Some contenders:

Sturridge - this one is unlikely as it would cost a fortune. Looks to be on his way out of Liverpool though and is proven. Maybe lacks consistency to be a top player but could definitely give us what we need as a forward.

Wilson - I like this guy a lot. Technically a very good forward and has pace to burn. I'd love to see us make a move for him as I think he'd add a great dynamic to our forward options.

Berahino - this one has been done to death. Would have been a great option under poch IMO.

Is there anyone else that you would like to see us sign?

PS - yesterday was amazing. 89 mins of pure frustration was completely worth it for that ending.

Must admit I'd forgotten we had N'koudou

What the hell is going on with him?

Easy got forget him, he's done nothing worth remembering

Id be very surprised if we signed a big name player in Jan. You just can't get them unless you pay ridiculous money which Levy won't.

Isco would be superb but if he became available virtually every team in Europe would be after him.

I know Sissoko and N'Koudou haven't set the world alight but those two players can get in behind defences with their pace. We need to give them time and as others said both of them didn't have a pre season to settle in and get Poch fit.

We may sign a kid for the future in Jan but i think that will be it im afraid.

That's a poor excuse. Sissoko may have been at the Euros but N'Koudou wasn't. For the sake of a couple of million it would be much better to sign the players early in order to bed them in and get them fit as soon as possible. Not this nonsense of dragging a deal out.

Sissoko was a last minute transfer, why weren't we after players a lot sooner rather than late August?

Both cases smack of the club trying to take unnecessary shortcuts or just being incompetent and amateurish.

Not having a go at you by the way, just get infuriated by how the club go about things at times.

Fekir would be a good signing, a nice creative forward who would bring something different to our team but still fit in the system.

Fantastic player although bit injury prone I think.

He's only had the one bad injury

Ah okay. Would love him.

The sort of player we need. Probably end up like Payet going to a shiet club like WHU and then being world class

Possibly too similar to Kane but I could see Rondon doing well at Spurs.

Not sure he'd be available and never set the place on fire for us but Salah is an electric player, ridiculous pace and as a regular he is potent.
