PSG Serge Aurier defender refused entry

The Ivorian, 23, was given a two-month suspended prison sentence in September for assaulting a police officer.

The Home Office said in a statement: "The immigration rules clearly state that non-EU nationals who have received a custodial sentence of less than 12 months within the last five years will be refused on criminality grounds."

Aurier, an Ivory Coast international, is appealing against his conviction, leading PSG to say:
"Paris St-Germain strongly regrets the presumption of innocence has not influenced Britain's decision"

What a bunch of clowns PSG really are, he was convicted in court but because he's put in an appeal and is a professional footballer they think the rules don't apply to him !
Embarrassing...

The Home Office have made a bit of a mess of this one to be honest.

Aurier was originally granted a Visa last month, and UK authorities were already aware of the conviction. PSG were only informed yesterday that his Visa had subsequently, been revoked.

Aurier is appealing the charge, and his appeal has yet to be heard. That said. Carl Jenkinson’s evening has potentially been made a lot easier.
