Another case of one rule for us?

Newcastle have had their red cards rescinded. How many times have we tried and failed. David Vaughn's against Birmingham for example. Donaldson ducked, Vaughn kicked him in the chest, he went down clutching his face, rolled 5 times. the video clearly showed that but was the card rescinded. Of course not.

Newcastle are the biggest cry babies I've ever witnessed in all my years of being a football fan. Their behaviour has LITERALLY been that of a 4 year old toddler not getting their way.

And here you have the definition of irony.

Some of the comments by their fans:-

Petition for a rematch at the end of season and hand it to the FA with over 50,000 signatures on it , it would be very interesting to see their response

Why petition for a rematch at the end of the season? Why not petition for us to be awarded the points now?!

I hope they miss out on promotion by 2 points

That will make it all the sweeter

It's just another way of protecting the monopoly. How on earth parachute payments and FFP can even be used in the same sentence is beyond me.

Against Newcastle we need to play like saints and try and nick it...their fans will be baying for our blood, but will soon turn on each other. I saw it week on week as they demolished each other and their own city centre. I like Geordies, but they all go a bit mental within a mile of the city centre!

That site reads like the inbreds wing of a maximum security jail.

Most footy forums contain a variety of views, including acceptance that your players may not be angels and the other side may have a few shouts of their own over refereeing decisions.

It's rather sad to think that someone seriously wants to get a petition together to ask the powers that be to overturn the result of a football game and award their team the points after they lost.

I did manage to register on another Geordie site (chronicle live) to reply to someone who said the game should be replayed. I suggested to achieve that they needed to let us go 3-1 ahead, then invade the pitch and attack our players.

Controversy makes the game unique. Take that away and football is dead.

Every team is involved in games where controversial and damn right wrong decisions cost points and sometimes have a slight effect on the bigger picture. We've had quite a few over the years ourselves, do we:

* Ever get even the most obvious incorrect red cards turned over
* Ask for money back on tickets, hotels, travel etc
* Talk about wanting the result cancelled and a replay schedule

I've honestly never seen anything like it before, a combination of having a massive chip on shoulder, being totally deluded and mardy.

An idea I had years ago was to have controversial offside decisions and goal-line shots reviewed at half time and at full time.

The game continues as it is with the players themselves (by actually viewing the incident) and the fans (by either being there or rewinding it on Sky) knowing it was / wasn't a goal / offside.

That way, you still get teams playing for the win and the game remains uninterrupted. Once it filters into the ground via social media it will also make the crowd more vociferous. Not to dissimilar to ye olde days with the wireless.
