Anthony Joshua vs Eric Molina

I'm sad to say as a spectacle or contest the Anthony Joshua vs Eric Molina fight was a joke. This wasn't Joshua's fault, but Eric Monlina seemed that all he wanted was a pay day. It looked like the only training he did was developing a belief in God and hoping that that would be enough to carry him through.

The Dillian Whyte v Dereck Chisora was a much better fight.

Britains 'young, knockout specialist HW world champion looking to start unifying the division' against 'an all time great, former world champ, looking to regain his belts'...........the fight is a marketing dream.

It won't take much effort to build it up, it'll sell itself.

Can't really blame Hearn for Molina's attitude.

Fact remains that Joshua has the ability to knock anyone out with one punch, and the heavyweight division knows this now so you'll see a few more of his opponents crap themselves, especially once he's laid a glove on them.

There'll be a few that come out fighting but that'll just leave them open to the counter and Joshua seems pretty capable of that as he has fast hands and a keen mind.

He just happens to be a lot better than near enough every HW on the planet.

Am i the only one that thought when Wlad was in the ring with AJ after the fight that thought it was a bit flat?

Obv this fight will sell and Sky will hype the hell out of it and a sold out Wembley will be done. But there didnt seem to be much energy/chemistry between them as if they were both truly up for the fight??

Just seemed a bit drab, and i think Fury's win has defo taken "the edge" out of this fight

I think it's coz everyone knew it was coming.

Wlad also can't sell fights for sh!t and Joshua probably had his mind on a shower and celebrating his win.

Sky and Mathcroom will be heavy on promotion after the new year, to the point where in March/April you'll not be able to watch anything on Sky/Sky Sports without seeing the fight advertised or mentioned.

Hopefully the haye bellew fight tanks on ppv as well as the Joshua klitschko one. Understandable to me to have bellew on the undercard of that.
When someone posted on here that Hearn said he's only interested in ppv fighter signings it meant it was time for this casual though decently knowledgable fan to say 'no mas', I know you see what I did there.

Tbh I never bother my hoop at the build up to fights, they never interest me whether it's a nicey nicey guy like Joshua or a gobsh¡te like Bellew.

You don't need to sell a fight to me, I'll watch it regardless although I'll no be paying for Haye v Bellew as it's a no-contest and the build up will be pretty intolerable. A tiny wee glimpse of that was Haye calling him Tony Belllend while commentating on the boxing on Saturday.. childish stuff.

The point I was trying to make is that I don't care how a boxer sells a fight so long as they produce an exciting fight or KO's.

Prime example being Golovkin.. nice as pie in his build ups, nasty basturd in the ring. Or Froch.. used to talk sh¡te before some of his fights but you could never accuse his fights of being boring.
