Get it Display / day oh well.
I am not going to gloat about those who lost the faith. I almost think we had to league wise get to Saturday to shake off the effects of last season.
CR was never going to change 442 and he had to make what we have work until we got until the new players got up to speed.
How good is Slimani going to be and Armetey looked much better even the much derided keeper.
I again give up for king more come backs than well fill in the gaps.
Now despite DD being eligible do you think we should stick with the team that won on Saturday.
So if we win on Tuesday this board will become comatose again.
Well done boys and CR your de man.

Regarding Drinkwater's return, one interesting possibility I've seen mooted is to move Amartey to right back (Simpson's suspended) with Drinkwater coming into CM.
I was interested to hear a rumour over the weekend: At one point late in the Porto match, Hernandez was seen on TV talking to the player he was marking at a corner. One suggestion was that he was asking for a shirt swap at the end of the match; that's obviously not proven but rather disappointing if true, particularly given the situation.
I didn't think that much of it until Saturday, where he didn't even make the bench. Neither did Schlupp, or Ulloa - who has been (understandably) making noises about wanting to move on in January in search of first team football. I wonder whether the management are looking at the squad and giving priority to those who are showing a genuine interest. It could be interesting to see what happens at right back tomorrow evening.

Drinkwater in no question. Right back could be interesting?
Don't suppose Benalouane has played there? Is he still around even??
Actually, it is an outstanding opportunity for someone to impress and put pressure on Simpson.
Any player up for it?

You are right there Dung didn't CR say last week i want players that want to fight for us if not they can go or words to that effect. Moving Amarety if would be unfair to drop him just as he's getting into the grove.

Amartey is still a long way short. I dont remember him making a tackle at all against Man City, so I had a quick look at the stats on whoscored to see how his tackles and interceptions compare (per game averages).
Amartey - tackles: 1.8 interceptions: 1.2
King - tackles: 1.2 interceptions: 1.5
Drinky - tackles: 4.1 interceptions: 1.7
Kante - tackles: 3.1 interceptions: 2.8
This clearly shows that Amartey and King are not performing defensively in the middle of the pitch, DD is having to make more tackles and he should be our playmaker. Lets hope Ndidi can slot in and make a difference.

The feral pigeon that we see in our towns and cities today is descended from the rock dove (Columba livia), a cliff-dwelling bird historically found in coastal regions. The word 'pigeon' is actually derived from the Latin word 'pipio', which means 'young bird'.

Foxy, interesting stats........Kante makes more interceptions and tackles than Amartey and King between them. We now understand why it felt like we were playing 4-5-2 last season, with Kante doing the work of two players. UTF

Even though with this statement that's exactly what you're doing
Too early for anyone to gloat. It was a great performance but it's all for nothing if we don't turn up at Bournemouth and ship 3 goals
