Chelsea V Posh (FAC) Part 1

Despite Chelsea's defeat by Spurs, a miracle will be required for a draw, let alone a Posh win - the so-called magic of the Cup.

A draw - that's what I want, so that we bring Chelsea back to the ABAX Stadium.

To do this, we need to up our usual tempo from the start of the game, not allow Chelsea to play, and counter-attack effectively. We allowed Coventry to play in the first half, which is why they got away with a point at the ABAX last Saturday.

To help us, I'd like to see Conte not play Courtois, Cahill, Hazard, Willian or Costa.

I'd like to see our own super-goalie (Spurs loanee) McKee perform heroics, as well as Bostwick, Edwards, Forrester and Taylor.

Finally, I'd like equalisers from 17-year-old da Silva Lopes (better than the youngster Lookman, who's gone to Everton for £11m), and our 6ft 5in defender Taffazoli (a header from one of Maddison's perfect crosses - the Alli and Eriksen of the Posh team).

So, here's hoping for an entertaining 2-2 result.

P.S. I'll be there with my 16-year-old son, and the always noisy Posh away support.

"We want to get after them. Spurs played on the front foot, got after them and caused them problems. That's what we want to do. We will have attacking players in our team and want to play on the front foot in their half. The higher up you play, the more time you get on the ball, but you've got to be good with it because they're so quick at breaking on you." - Posh manager Grant McCann to BBC Radio Cambridgeshire.

Up for it, then.

Twaddle TP, think not.Went to Notts County match with younger son,he got student ticket for 3 pounds which was a great price , this qualified him for I believe 4 tickets for Chelsea game. How is that fair.? We are not going as not big Posh fans.Complete Balls Up,totally disrespectful to real fans.

Twaddle TF, still think so. Season ticket holders and supporters club members (the real fans) got the first of the pick of the cherry, as the first day's ticket offering was restricted to them. They were notified of this in advance, and those who applied to purchase tickets that day will be sitting in the best seats. The second day's ticket offering was sold to those real fans slower on the uptake (myself included), and to some of those fans who qualified by attending the Notts County game. Unfortunately, demand quickly exceeded supply on the second day - the remainder of the 6K+ tickets were snapped up by noon that day - and some applicants were left disappointed. If only we had been offered approaching 15K tickets!

Peterborough are a much bigger club than Chelsea tbh. Less money certainly, but at least as big. Probably weren't purchased for 1 pound etc.

Where will all these 6000 fans be in a few weeks TP ??
Back supporting their other teams as usual i expect.
Then the club will be complaining about lack of support.
What do they expect?? One big game and they end up looking rather foolish.
Sorry but we wont be meeting in the next round, it ould have been interesting.

Well, they won't be supporting or showing any other interest in an under-performing Leicester City, TF - boom boom!

Back to tomorrow's football (which is what really matters), it looks like Conte will be blooding Michy Batshuayi, the Belgian £33m transferee from Marseille (replacing Costa?): and it also looks like he'll be playing John Terry (who played 10 years ago, when the Posh and Chelsea last played each other) and back-from-injury Kurt Zouma.

Good to see League One Millwall beat Bournemouth 3-0, and League One Bolton draw 0-0 with Crystal Palace.

Getting ready to head off into town to join the queue for the SW3-bound supporters' coaches.

Come on lads! Play to the best of your abilities and above. Heroics, please. Do your best for the city. Don't freeze - enjoy yourselves!
