Hello my lovelies, Halfy's here with the wonderful FA Cup match thread, so sit back and relax
Halfy's looking forward to receiving your 1 's
Ibrahim Afellay could play a full 90 minutes for Stoke for the first time in more than a year but Jonathan Walters' inflamed knee will keep him out.
Marc Muniesa (knee) is fit but Wilfried Bony, Mame Diouf and Ramadan Sobhi are on Africa Cup of Nations duty.
Wolves are expected to make changes, with Mike Williamson back from long-term injury absence.
Dominic Iorfa, Kortney Hause and fit-again Prince Oniangue are also expected to face the Potters.
MATCH FACTS
Stoke have lost seven of their nine FA Cup matches against Wolves (W1, D1), but won the most recent encounter in January 2011.
Wolves have lost their past six FA Cup ties against Premier League opposition - most recently losing 1-0 to West Ham in round three last season - scoring just one goal in those six games.
Since they earned promotion to the Premier League in 2008, Stoke have only failed to progress to round four of the FA Cup once, losing 2-0 to Hartlepool in January 2009; they have won their past seven third-round ties.
Wolves have won two of their past 18 visits to Stoke in all competitions (D6, L10).
Jonathan Walters has scored in his past two games for Stoke in the FA Cup, including the winner against Doncaster (2-1) in the most recent of those.

Shockingly the top 9 highest possession teams are all in the top ten teams in the division......madness isn't it.
equally shocking is the fact that the seven best passing sides are in the top ten

If you didn't know better you would just assume that better players just pass a ball better and better managers just utilise those talents.

Arggghhhh its getting silly now, the top six in the prem have the highest possession and passing numbers as well.......ridiculous!!!!!
Long live hoofball i say, statistically it does actually work very VERY rarely, better that than trying to be smart with the ball.

Those high possession stats at the top are when they lose matches
The low possession stats at the bottom are when they win matches ok>

Before cinci makes a fool of himself for a few more years misunderstanding this issue should we point out to him that having possession is not what gives success, its that being able to afford the best players means having players more capable of passing to each other than lower quality players so these clubs tend to have higher possession stats.
If we sent out Eggert Jonsson, Leon Clarke and Siggy and told them to focus on keeping possession of the ball, would we beat a team that contained Messi, Suarez and Neymar who were sent out to adopt hoofball tactics? I suspect not

Too late for Cinci to change his spots, but you've pretty well summed it up. Too many people with a train-spotter mentality cling to stats, without realising that much of the beautiful game can't be analysed too intently. Not all qualities of a player can be judged by how many passes or tackles he makes.
