Forest V Wigan Match Thread

A break from the League this weekend and a opportunity to turn around our run of bad luck. I didn't think we played to badly against Barnsley, that offside looked close, before that goal out of nowhere.

Pillionios is not yet fit enough yet to start after his latest knee op and Vaughan is sidelined with a recurrence of his fractured rib injury. Lansbury is unlikely to start reading between the lines and is probably off for £3M.

A lot of focus on Montanier this evening again but surprisingly little aimed at the mercenaries in the team who will walk away with a decent wage for lifeless performances like that. The chant "You're not fit to wear the shirt" was never more appropriate.

Out of that team, you can only really absolve the defence, and a couple of others such as Osborn and Assombalonga from the worst of the blame by the sounds of it.

Bendtner proves he the proper "fair weather" player I always suspected he was by not putting himself in the frame for the penalty. Totally stealing a wage from the club. Forest are now in a battle and they need soldiers, not a feather like him!

It so frustrating because everyone can see player's like him flouncing from club to club and never giving any value. Carayol seems another one.

Players like Lica and Dumitru you can forgive a little as they are blatantly fish out of water. Should never have been considered for this league but Forest clearly didn't do their homework.

Jeez Will, you are making me wish I was sat opposite you with a pint and letting you get it all out mate.

Has to be better times ahead, surely.

It's only a game, Ig. Just making some points! Far more important things in life than footy. It's just a hobby.

Anyone could run this club better than Al Hasawi has done so I think it is a given that things can only get better once he has gone.

I agree will.

Fawaz has to certainly be competing at the very least as one of the worst owners in the football league and certainly in the championship.

With the work JJ did at San Diego by letting those in the know run the club and the rumours that he already has a CEO, DOF & Financial Director already lined up, the guy could do more for the club in one afternoon in terms of setting out an internal structure for the club then Fawaz has done in the four years he has been here.

In a way we are so far removed from any organisation and structure that things can only get better and hopefully this will translate to a more stable club.

Do not get me wrong though. We are in the most precarious position since we were promoted. Arguably after today and how we are free falling an even worse state then we were in 2008/2009. We are in very real danger of being relegated and our fate potentially could be decided in the space of the next seven days.

Unfilter me super Billy.

You can't hide in a bubble all your life.

No more insults.

Can't argue with anything you say Super.

A few times this season I have thought things couldn't get any worse but they always have. Yesterday could be different though. If the takeover goes through on Tuesday as we all hope it will, things will get better.

By Wednesday morning we could have a structure in place. A new manager. The accounts could be signed off by the new auditors, and the embargo lifted.

I don't think the new manager will have too much to do to keep us up. Next Saturday our back five could be:

Henderson
Lichaj Mancienne Hobbs Pinillos

which will do me till the end of the season if properly organised and disciplined. Up Front Britt and Vellios could get among the goals, and if as rumoured we manage to bring in Omar Bogle then we will be OK at that end of the pitch.

It is in midfield where we have problems especially without Lansbury. The best we can put out is probably

Pereira Cash Vaughan Osborn

which in my opinion lacks creativity and an enforcer.

The bench will also be weak with youngsters and too much dross like Dumitru and Lam.

I'd like Rowett to be the new manager, failing that I'd take Dougie back to make us hard to beat again and to see how he does with Britt at his disposal.

Whoever is manager needs to get square pegs out of round holes. Lichaj is one of the best right backs in the league and is so limited at left back.
