Plymouth

Plymouth has played a part in almost very historical event – from The Mayflower setting sail and finding North America which would become the U.S.A to being bombed in the World War Two bombings; but the city also had a role in safely transporting the survivors of RMS Titanic more than 105 years ago, two weeks after she had sank.

Plymouth played the game immaculately today, restricting Liverpool's youngest Liverpool starting line-up in the club's history to maybe one clear chance all match. The book says Plymouth drew at Anfield, and it will say that forever. Congratulations to Liverpool being a great host. We allowed Liverpool the ball and when we had the ball we still created a couple of nice old opportunities.

Titanic's maiden voyage was intended to be the first of many transatlantic journeys from New York in the United States, returning via Plymouth on the eastbound leg. Fast forward to now and Liverpool fans can dream of visiting Home Park and returning once again to Plymouth since Saturday 28th April 1962.

Both sides now go into the fourth round draw.

Best thing about the Titanic is the name that is on the back!

I was at the Posh V Chelsea game today, and we didn't park the bus. Consequently, though we lost 4-1, it was an entertaining game, enjoyed by both sets of supporters. I watched the first half of the Liverpool V Plymouth game, which was dull simply because Plymouth parked the bus. Football was the loser at that game. It certainly wasn't at Stamford Bridge.

TP you lost, regardless of how Plymouth played Liverpool couldn't break them down ,and now they have a replay.Wouldnt you love to be in same position? Playing to strengths is not always attractive but is effective. I should know after last season.

More puzzlingly, Argyll is in Scotland, and has nothing to do with Devon. Was your club founded by jocks?

I did... "Much speculation surrounds the origin of the name Argyle. One explanation is that the club was named after the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, an army regiment with a strong football side of its own"

Not really any need to act like a nob, was there?
