Now the work begins....

A cracking game in the cup for us, against a resurgent Fulham. There is no chance we will get away with playing a fully changed side for this one, we must put a solid team out.

The 5th round is the filling in the Europa sandwich, so it does give us a chance to mix and match somewhat.

Priority as always is the league, all the time we have a sniff. Then the FA Cup, as we are only 4 matches from winning it, as opposed to 9 for the Europa.

This is our run of games around it, a full schedule of five games.

Liverpool A
11th

Gent A
16th

Fulham A
19th (probably)

Gent H
23rd

Stoke H
26th

Now for me we go absolutely full strength for the Liverpool and Stoke games. We all know the 343.

I would like to see Rose and Walker given the Gent home game off to have them firing at full pelt for Stoke 3 days later. One alternate cup game each for those two prior to that.

I would like to see Lloris, Toby, Jan (if fit) Dembele, Wanyama, Eriksen, Alli and Kane in for the Fulham game. A strong spine to the side. Dier to sit this one out.

I would also like to see Janssen and Son given both Europa games together, as the partnership has promise, and possibly both to start v Fulham too albeit in different roles.

We really need players to step up here. Wimmer, CCV, Davies, Trippier, Sissoko, Winks, GKN, Lamela and Janssen should all be getting starts in certain games in this busy period

Our results in the FA Cup are less than convincing aren't they? Had to wait a long time to open the scoring against Villa and STRUGGLED mightily against Wycombe and then a deflection, penalty and an own goal helped our cause. I am NOT confident ahead of this match.

for me I would rest players for the Gent Europa league games especially the away game and go a bit stronger for the FA cup, would love to see Poch have a go at this love the FA cup but then I am of that generation were it was THE major cup in this country

Their LB Ryan Sessegnon would be perfect for us. Fantastic prospect who would flourish under poch.

It is certainly an area I think we need to strengthen in, another attacking LB in the squad. Hearing a lot of good things about the lad.

Facking Europa league

Get past Fulham (hopefully) and the FA cup is live for me. Quarter finals tends to be when my interest perks up as the final edges closer. Still don't see us having the squad to compete on all fronts so the Europa league is an afterthought.

Still in the hunt for the title, but a top 4 finish and the FA cup would be a quality season for me.
